I'm about to make the decision....? vs ?..?!?!?

Ok so me and FH took a lil break being that it was the holidays oh btw Happy Holidays everyone! soooo anyways we just closed on out condo 12/7 so the past couple weekends have been spent fixin up the condo...now im ready to FINALLY make a decision and i need some input b/c im stuck between 2 great places...sooooooooo its a tie between Jericho Terrace and Leonards of Great Neck...its for a Sunday nite, Oct 2008....are there any JT and LOGN brides out there that can let me know how both are...thanks girls and sorry so long..

I saw both places, and although I didn't book at either, if I would've had to choose between the 2, I'd go for Leonards. Sorry I don't have any experience from being at a party at either of them though!!

Well obviously my answer will be JT...Leonards is nice too dont get me wrong...I fm'ed you my whole answer so i am not gonna write it all out again lol.

I can only tell you our experience as we were deciding between both and got married on a Sunday night in April.

While LOGN gave us a better price (cheaper by about $8pp) we still went with Jericho Terrace. This was just our experience.

When we arrived at LOGN, we were greeted by a grumpy receptionist & then we waited about 20 minutes before being seen by a BM. And when we met with him he was strictly business. No enthusiasm, just ok, here's our menu, here's what we offer and that was it. Didn't offer to show us any rooms. While the place was gorgeous, this kind of turned me off. Some people are fine with the no-nonsense approach, but that's not me, at least when it came to our wedding. For all I know LOGN may not have tried that hard with us because we were having a smaller wedding. I don't know.

When we went to JT it was the complete opposite. The receptionist was nice, our BM came out to greet us within 5 minutes. Everyone was extremely friendly, they showed us around and they gave us a tasting of everything! Needless to say, we booked on the spot.

Now this was just our experience, and there are rave reviews on both places, so take this for what it's worth. Ultimately you have to be happy with your decision.

yes same here...OUr bm was great too...once we got there he had people serve us whatever drinks we wanted, he brought out a bottle of wine...He then brought out sooo much food for us to try, showed us around the place...he asked if we wanted to wait until the rooms were done for the wedding they set up, if we had time...Fh and i decided to wait...while we waited we stayed in his office, ate more food, drank and talked for a while...He brought us into the CH quickly before it started and then to the starlight room when they were setting it up for a wedding...We went back with both of our parents and we didnt even book yet and same thing, served us drinks, was so great, addressed all their concerns and he did alot for us.

Hi,
Everyone has a different experience. I had a great experience with Leonard's and that's why we booked.

I have bothered my BM four times already with questions and have asked to see the room 3 times. My wedding is not until October.--lol

They have been more than nice and I think they gave us a pretty good deal, They even told me where I can save money. I am having a small wedding (between 60-80)and they really helped me budget. If you want a Sunday wedding, you can get a good price.

I guess go with your gut feeling. Where can you see yourself taking pictures, who has the better price, who treated you better?

I visited both places in our search.

While Leonards gave us a better price, I just felt welcomed at JT. I also felt we were getting so much more for our money at JT and I could see ourselves having the wedding there.

Definately go with your gut feeling.

while JT is more enthusiastic and people friendly when they are dealing with i still choose Leonards...looked at both places- theyre great ..

I didn't look at either for myself, but I've been to weddings at both places and both were excellent! I don't think you can go wrong by choosing either one, so go with whichever you feel comfortable with. I guess compare prices, location, etc.. make a list of pros and cons if you have to... good luck with your choice!
