We were gonna get married in Vegas too, we went running around looking at places the day after he proposed there. We were surprised, but the prices are either higher or the same there, they also charge you a fee for having the wedding outside. Mirage did this and I was shocked we also went to Caesars and Bellagio. It was my dream to get married at the bellagio on the terrace with the fountains in the background!!!!! A girl can dream!!!!!!!!!

Check out the westbury manor and maybe Domenicos. I know a friend that just got married there they have a huge back room that has a dance floor and what not. Or a destination wedding-- i'll come!!!

For the girls that were talking about Vegas...
i actually went to the bellagio and the wynn last year, right before i was engaged and saw the wedding salons and rooms and got pricing.
It is actually cheaper than NY when you put it all together.
the PP price is higher buttttt we will be having a lot less people at the wedding, so it still ends up costing less.
and nothing compares to the Wynn or Bellagio in long island, they are just absolutely gorgeous!
gotta get FH to be on board tho!

I am glad you are back !!! I hope all is well. what about Lombardis on the sound or on the bay, those are smaller intimate and if the food is anything like villa lombardi's it will be excellent.

I took a break from planning as well a couple of months ago. Its like, as soon as you get engaged, you get all wrapped up in planning this big party and you forget about what the wedding is really suppose to be about: you and your FH. It was great to take some time off, save some money, do other things besides wedding planning. And now I am back with a clearer head about what our celebration should be about. So I'm glad you took some time off and welcome back!!!!!!!!! We all missed you! !
