Im back and married....and it feels great! Small review inside

Hi ladies!!!

Wow, what a Day!!! It flew by and I am so glad its over. I was way stressing and I finally feel like I am back to my normal self. Everything was beautiful and I could not have been happier!!!

First off Debbie, Nic and Roro! Thank you for coming out of your way, in the rain, to attend my ceremony- it meant so much to me..and when I saw you guys there in the pews, I was just soooo happy!!!!


I can not leave for my honeymoon without writing a few words about my vendors that went ABOVE and BEYOND, and another that was a real let down

Oh my GOD!!!!!!!!! Barbara and her staff were amazing!!!!!!!!!!! She was sooo organized, the food was out of this world- guests were AMAZED - they were all telling me that they wish they had their wedding there...it was beautiful, the service was impeccable and everything that the hall did went smoothly. The waiters bring drinks like clockwork to the tables..they really take care of the guests.
My cake was out of a magazine....Hamlet girls, put all of your trust in Barbara she is FANTASTIC

Absolutely the most gorgeous flowers that i have ever seen....they were totally stunning and EXACTLY what I wanted. Breathtaking!!!!!! If they were open today I would go over and give them all huge hugs..they were absolutely unbelievable....I upgraded my centerpieces to make them more full...WORTH IT!!!!!!!BOY were they STUNNING!!!!! The bouquets were BEYOND my expectations...when I saw them I almost fell on the floor...they REALLY did a fabulous job..I cant wait to show you guys my pics when I get them!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jamie busted her BUTT to get great shots...she was laying on the floor, standing on couches....having pouring rain on her....she is PRICELESS..the shots she was taking were just unbelievable...and her creative eye is just amazing....she worked soooooooo hard for mike and I and the second photographer (that Jamie added on FOR FREE) was such a DOLL....these two are worth their weight in GOLD...they are extremely kind, they kept me sane and they were there for every single moment of my day...I could not have asked for a better photographer..what a TEAM!

Nick is the sweetest kindest man...he was completely unobtrusive..I didnt even know he was there...he did a SICK job on my Growing up photo Montage...everyone LOVED it!!! And he, like Jamie, was around for all of the great moments. He is a true talent and I have NO DOUBT that my video will be AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Nick, you are the best!!!!!!!


The Let Down-

DJ- will remain unnamed-
Forty minutes before the cocktail hour ended, I was pulled into the main room to be told that my DJ had not arrived yet. I was a nervous wreck to begin with, and I was honestly ready to just puke right there after getting that news..
My Sinatra singer (thank God he was there) started setting up his backup microphones and speakers out of his truck... but we had no music. ..Barbara had her staff downloading music onto an ipod that they were going to hook up to a speaker system...they were very prepared..

Meanwhile Barbara called every DJ she knew...no one was available. Twenty minutes pass...its 7:40 - NO DJ yet...I am ready to just flip out...no call on my cell, no calls to the Hall, no answer on his phone- NOTHING. Five minutes later a van speeds up and there is the DJ-he sets up as we extend my cocktail hour a half hour while he gets his **** together

No apologies...no calls..nothing. Meanwhile I am in tears, hysterical crying in my bridal suite...soo full of emotion and sick to my stomach...relieved he arrived, but still sooo stressed.

Into the evening the DJ pulls me aside asking where his meal is - im sorry but you are late, my day is pretty much ruined and now you are bugging me for your meal? Bug someone else!!! (I told the wait staff to bring him food...I find out later that he DID get a meal, but he didnt like it, and he snapped at the Hamlet Staff and told them that the meal they gave him was not good enough.)

The rest of the night was a blur...like I have said before, I dont eat when im stressed so not only was my cocktail hour ruined stressing over this DJ not showing, the rest of my evening was rushed due to everything being thrown off with the cocktail hour....

The guests had no clue...but I knew and Mike knew..and we never really enjoyed ourselves because every second we were pulled into a different direction- either rushing for the cake, sitting for the Sinatra Singer and everything else...and to top it off ,Mike, who had planned a beautiful speech, never got to even say it because we didnt have enough time.

At the end of the night th Dj comes up to me and asks what was up with his tip (and we gave him a decent one too!). Im sorry, but that was extremely RUDE and he was lucky he got one. In addition, he also bothered my husband about the same thing.

Those of you that want to know who this DJ was feel free to FM me when I get next week. He comes highly recommended from this site and I entrusted him with my most important aspect of the wedding- my music.

In addition the Sinatra singer is charging me extra for his time to set up his speakers then take them down again. So not only was my night cut short a half hour (which is alot in wedding time), I am also out MORE money trying to cover for this DJ.

To stress me out like that with no call, NO APOLOGIES, rudeness to the Hamlet Staff and a nasty attitude was extremely unprofessional. I went with budget, and I guess you get what you pay for.

**He did play the correct songs at the correct time and played our must-play list....and I will give him that. But JUST that.**

In closing, althought the DJ sitaution stunk, my day was wonderful becasue I married the love of my life. Mike is an amazing person and I am sooo glad that we are finally an official family. I will write a full and detailed review after my honeymoon once I get all of my pics back from Jamie. But it feels great to get that off my chest. It is still bothering me and It felt good to say it in a post.
