NOTHING IS DONE TO THEM NO TICKET NOTHING. I THINK THATS WRONG BECAUSE YOU CAN RECIEVE A SUMMONS FOR PEEING IN PUBLIC ITS AGAINST THE LAW. SO GOO FIGURE AND I DONT WANT TO HEAR THAT THEY DONT KNOW ANY BETTER. ITS A BS EXCUSE.

They were sayinng I must have money cause of my ring and she needs to lose weight

Needless to say when we were done, she confronted them and told them off, we never went back


I get the opposite.. mostly cause I NEVER let them see my ring. I take it off and my other ring and put them on my watch, which Jim holds. Im sure the nail people thing im a country bumpkin!


One little lady in Roosevelt Field knows me she always speaks in English for me and is very nice.

Not to sound like Gone from the Wind snobby but .. It's just soooo hard to find good people these days for that work.

Jen, do you live in Copiague? I grew up there... so I witnessed the whole 'Polish takeover'... it was maionly hispanic people when I grew up, now it's really a mix of everything. What gets me is that nobody in that area, regardless of race, KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE!!! It makes me NUTS, and I swear every time I go to visit my mom and I have to turn down Oak Street I am going to run over one of those idiots that think it's perfectly acceptable to stroll into oncoming traffic.

I did not grow up there (I'm a northport girl) but FH did & so did his parents. I hear ya about the traffic. I am counting my days until we some day move. Hopefully right after wedding!!!!!

In regards to cell phones - why do people always still get on the cell phones when they are in the car. I have to say, people do drive like idiots when they are on the phone. It really pisses me off.

Wow, can you tell me who you're marrying? Maybe I know him! My mom lives a block or two north of Montauk Hwy off of Great Neck Rd. FM me if you want... sorry for my curiosity, I just don't know many other people who grew up there. No hard feelings if ya want to keep it private!

I hear you about moving, too, my DH and I can't wait to heck the he11 off of this Godforsaken island!!

So true.. Best is when I can honestly say 90% of the cops I drive by.. are on the phone.

No enforcement.. no one cares.. I see people weaving on and swerving on the road.. or going random speeds.. slow and fast then slow again .. they're on the phone and could care less.

Going back to the cell phone issue -

I take public transportation to work and people on the phone are the worst...

Anyway one night, while people are chattering away the lady a few rows in front of me starts reading her paper aloud. It was so funny! And the best was the woman next to her on the phone said 'do you mind I'm on the phone?'

You definitely get stories from public transportation -LOL
