Example of an email from my 15 year old cousin -

'So what R U doing 2morrow? C U lata.'

Hello? what is that? I also hate when the music industry does that too!

A question to the teachers - do these kids write like this in school or is just an internet thing?

I worked with someone whose daughter was taught the abbreviations of the months not the full names Sept. instead of September!!

How about when people can't even WRITE in their own languages?!?!

Like, using 'there' instead of 'their' or using 'your' instead of 'you're'.

This drives me up a wall!

But the worst thing I've seen, my own boss - an attorney, someone who is supposed to know how to write and spell - tends to write *sought* when he means *sort*. It is so hard for me not to call him a MORON to his face when I see that!

oh, and btw I LOVE JELLY!

I am what I am!! I'm a JELLY LOVER AND I'M PROUD!!! I hate peanut butter. It's yucky and sticky and smelly and I hate it!

But peanut butter tastes SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better with chocolate

Before I decided to be a Stay At Home mom... I was a substitute teachers assistant... My BIGGEST peeve was slang!!!! The worst one that I would seriously llecture on was the use of the phrase 'word' ... Like what the heck is the point of that?!?!? 'word' I know its SUPPOSED to be like a yeah, or I agree-- WELL WHY DON'T YOU JUST SAY WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY!?!?!?!?!!?!??!!??!

I would tell my students to fill in the blanks, like in those MadLibs books, each and everytime they heard someone say 'word'. Think if the first word that came to mind.. A lot of them started noticing how STUPID it sounded...
I just dont understand why 'Bread' is not as cool as saying 'word' !

OH-- Nora.. I love PB&J EQUALLY! LOL And I want to know what the technical term IS for that!!!!!LOL

PLEASE PEOPLE....LEARN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE before criticizing others for speaking another.....

Yep.. but I do at least admit it. When people give me the song and dance about how poor me should know Spanish and how Poor me is probably handicapped because of it.. i say.


'Hell, why should I learn another language? I still haven't figured out this one yet!'

Sonny, true love is the greatest thing, in the world-except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is lean and the tomato is ripe (smacks his lips) they're so perky, I love that!
