I'm cancelling

my DRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just don't LOVE it, and cannot justify spending many thousands of dollars on it, I guess that's why I didn't WANT to go try it on tomorrow, I don't want to see myself in it because it isn't the right one for me, I'm keeping my veil, headpiece, shoes and earrings, as I LOVE those, but the dress is a no go, I actually had a thought today of taking 25 people and going to disney for a small wedding, I think I'm finally starting to go insane, where should I look for a dress now...with only 245 days to go?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i'm sorry!! but if you don't love it you would TOTALLY regret wearing it on your wedding day. You can definitely have a dress on rush delivery. i would talk to your bridal salon and see what they say. If they don't think they can get a dress in in time, maybe you can find a salon that can.

don't stress!! you need to LOVE your dress!!!

I am sorry, you have to love your dress tho!! You can def. find a dress in that time frame. Shop around- call alot of bridal salons and see if they can accomodate you. I have seen many posts recently where girls ordered their dress and they have come in suprisingly early so obviously it can be done!

I'm sorry about your dress but I'm sure you're making the right decision. This is the most important dress you'll ever wear! You should love it!

you have plenty of time!! people get married in shorter time frames than you have all the time! fsil ordered her dress in may for her wedding next week! it's been in for a few weeks and everything is perfect! she got hers at the wedding salon in manhasset

Aww, I'm sorry you don't like it anymore. You can go just about anywhere for another dress. I know Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point has a qick turn around time. I only ordered mine 3 weeks again, and it'll be in my March...

I was supposed to try it on tomorrow, and I realized I don't want to because I don't really love it, I toyed with changing EVERYTHING...but not Guy! :) I'm SOOO confused!!

You and FH need to sit down together and talk this out as to what you both want to do about your wedding ! It is your day and you should do what you feel is right for both of you and no one else !!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!

Ack!!!
I think any place you go to, I would give a call before even walking in and see if there's a way of rush ordering your gown. Most places should be able to do that for you.
I'm glad you are following your instincts, you would never want to look back at your wedding and regret your gown, you're going to look at those pictures the rest of your life. So you definitely need to love it.

Hi date twin. Maybe it's the date b/c I did the same thing with my first dress in July. Last week, I went to RK bridal and got the PERFECT dress. I also don't feel guilty about it b/c it's more than half the price of the original dress--and this one's better! You have plenty of time--don't worry about it!

It's not a question of buying early, I mean the dress takes like 6 or 7 months to come in, and everything I've seen says to start looking at least a year in advance, it's just a question of the fact that I shouldn't have said yes just because it was convenient or so that I could get it done. I really appreciate everyone's help and input, the hunt is on again, and my MOH, who is my angel on my shoulder is willing to take me by the hand and go from shop to shop until I find something, hopefully it won't take too long!

Okay, don't listen to any negative nellies.

You have 245 days--GUESS WHAT--that is MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME, so don't fret my darling!!!

Firstly, you can ALWAYS go to David's Bridal to look for a dress. If it's a no go there, there are SO MANY other options, including Filene's Basement Running of the Brides (which I believe might be soon!!!!!) and tons of other trunk shows that you can go to.

OH YEAH--you can also ALWAYS rush deliver a dress!! My friend had a dress and found out she was PG and VOILA within 3 months she had a brand new dress made!! She paid a little extra, but she got one!!

AND you can always order one from the net--worst comes to worst.

I am happy that you made such a drastic decision because your gut told you to!!!! Good for you girl!

Don't worry you will find a dress. You have enough time to find another one. And good for you for being honest with yourself about your dress. You would really kick yourself later if you wore something that you did not love. Good Luck
