We are probably going to do a brunch in Manhattan...she isn't expected to pay for around 30 people is she? Who pays?

Custom dictates that the bridal party together pay for the shower. However, custom is being thrown out the window these days. More and more often MOB are contributing to the cost.

My MOH and BMs split the cost of the shower and I think my mom gave them money too since she invited a lot of her friends (I've known them for years).

My mother paid for my shower and my MOH and BM's (minus one who was out of town) payed for the decorations, etc.

I told my BP to ask my mother for help. As far as I know they havent but who knows. I have an extensive shower list - they will need help.

I've been a bridesmaid twice, and once the BP paid for everything and another time I think the bride's mother paid for everything. I guess it depends...wish I could be more helpful.

My sister is the MOH and my Dad paid for it
My Mom passed away- but otherwise she would have paid for it

I think it should be split between the BP, and the MOH, but these days 'whoever has the Money'

I am not sure who is going to be paying for mine and I honeslty don't want to get involved.
This is the one thing you don't have to worry about, it will work out for everyone.
I guess it's a litter easier for me because my MOH is my sister so she knows she can ask my mom for help too if she wants to.

My parents paid for the shower-meaning the meal and drinks but my MOH and bridesmaid paid for some decorations and the wishing well...etc..
My mom is paying for mine. In my family all my aunts paid for their daughters. However, i was in one party in which we paid for shower. It all depends on the situation. Remeber, bridal shower does not have to be at a place, it could be at someone's house, which can cut costs.

My MOH (sister) and one BM (FSIL) are paying. I think my mother is helping with my sister's portion.

My mother paid for my sister's, but only because my younger sister doesn't have two dimes to rub together, and I paid for the bachelorette party (limo, food, drinks, favors, etc.)
'Etiquette' states that the BMs and MOH pay for/host the shower. Some people think that if the bride's immediate family pays for the shower it's somehow fishing for gifts (which I think is ridiculous). With showers getting more and more elaborate (you rarely get invited to a shower at someone's home anymore) I think it's much more common for the MOB to pay for the shower.
