Yes you are tied in last place right now. I too want to sincerely say that we feel your pain.
The Mets have given us so many disappointing seasons. At least you guys have had some good seasons...and a lot of world series titles...

Well at least the last 2 games show hope. Mussina and Brown did some nice pitching. Brown worked hard but he came through. Let's hope they are getting things under control.

I'm REALLY hoping this is the start of a turnaround for our boys... today's game was great, we just need a very nice , long winning streak going right about now!

The next 9 games before the Mets are against Seattle & Oakland. I expect them to go 6-3 in these series which would probably put them into 3rd place. Anything less than that would be very disappointing.

My brother (a major yankee fan) made a bet with DH...one is that my brother says Giambi is hitting 40 homeruns this year and DH said he's not.
Now yesterday my brother offered an additional bet to DH. He wants to bet DH that the Mets don't make the playoffs...if they do then DH wins the bet....I looked at DH and said 'take the bet, remember this is the same guy who last year said that Boston wasn't even making the playoffs, Mush has spoken babe'...
It's a friendly bet...
I call my Brother a mush, cuz whatever he says the opposite happens....so if he says the Mets are not making the playoffs then we actually may...

I wholeheartedly agree ... would love to see them do even better, but I'd definitely take 6-3
There is NO reason they should be as far back in the standings as they are .. they need to dig themselves out of this and become the Yankee team we expected this season!!
Side note: I'll be at the first Subway Series game on Friday, May 20th with DH (the METS FAN ) So while we try to respect each other on these boards, take no offense METS FANS when I say this is the one time of year I SOO hope the Yanks kick your azzes
