I am also a plus sized bride...hopefully not for too much longer! I went to David's Bridal in April...what a nightmare...I looked like a linebacker. I decided to totally postpone wedding dress shopping until I lost weight. Well...I went to Adrienne's in Islip in the beginning of July because I was getting the itch to look again (I had lost like maybe 15-20 lbs by then), and I had a GREAT experience!! None of the dresses zipped of course...but I got the idea, and not once did the lady make me feel fat. My bust is also a problem, and she would pull those dresses down as hard as possible for me to get the idea. I ordered a dress from there that I loved, without having a sample in my size.
I know it is frustrating to look for dresses when you don't even fit into the samples. I also feel it is ludicrous that they don't have a sample over the size of 10....but if you go to the right place you will have a great time and maybe find the dress of your dreams!!
