I'm feeling sad.........(long)

I'm feeling sad.........(long)

JT has been home for a week and we have barely spent any quality time together This is the longest stretch of time that we will spend together until December, and I feel like he should be making more of an effort to spend some time with me. I understand that he hasn't been home in a long time and a lot of people want to see him, but I also feel like, HELLO! WHAT ABOUT ME?!?
Before I moved home from MA a couple of weeks ago, I kept saying to him that I wanted to talk about what was going to happen once I moved home, meaning, how often we would see eachother, what he would do about a car(we were living with just mine), how we were going to handle finances, etc...and all he would say to me was, 'We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.' And low and behold, I moved home and felt lost and miserable because there were all of these unresolved things floating in the air. And now that he is here, he still doesn't want to talk about all of those things, and I am feeling like he doesn't even care that we are going to be apart for so long. I mean, look at me, I am on the computer because he is at our friend's house. I'm tired and didn't want to go out, and still, he went out, even though he just saw this friend last night and has plans with him tomorrow. I told him all I wanted was some quality time, and he keeps saying, oh, tomorrow night, but it never happens, things keep 'popping up'. I feel really neglected. Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest.

I'm sorry you are feeling really down. You need to have a serious talk and tell him that you really want to spend quality time together.
You need to let him know how much this is bothering you. I'm sure he will stay home with you once you tell him how upset you are.

I mean, we have spent most of the time that he's been home together, and I am happy and greatful for that, but I would like some 'us' time. On one hand, I really don't want to stop him from going out, I mean, we share the same friends and I usually am with him, but on the other hand, they NEVER call him up there, visit him, etc, so why is he giving them time that could be better spent with me? (Oh wow, I sound spoiled!)

Rachel - sit his arse down and talk to him. The longer you let him ignore it the worse you are going to feel.

You deserve to be happy and you deserve answers!

I wish you all the best. and to you!!!!!!

Just talk to him and tell him that you really want more time with just him and you.
I'm sure you will be with the results.

That's what I want to do. He just called to tell me he got to our friend's house and that he is not staying long. But really, did he have to go out at 10:45 at night? I think I need to give him a big ol smack on the booty to kick him in gear!

I just think you need to tell him how much you want to spend more quality time together.

Yeah, maybe the first 500 times didn't sink in He is just the type of person who doesn't want to let anyone down, and I think that he thinks because we are like one most of the time, I don't count as one of those people he doesn't want to let down. He's just clueless sometimes.
