Our ceremony is at 4pm about 45 minutes from hall.
We are going to argyle park for pics and our CH starts at 8pm over t 1am
Im freaking out thinking that 9 is way to late for people to eat dinner...
What do I do...

Mine is from 7pm until 1am. It's not too late, people will get full at the CH and then dance and be OK until dinner...you're fine!

It's a little late but I would think people would anticipate it once they have the invite and maybe snack on something...

I think it's ok, but I know my older family members wouldn't be happy about it at all.

It's not too bad..I agree that people will see that reception starts at 8:00pm and will prob snack on something before they go.....

my CH starts at 7... one hour difference isnt a big deal... imsure they will grab a snack in between the church and the hall....

It is kinda late. I would have just had a cocktail reception at that time because people will probably eat dinner in between the ceremony and the reception. If I got an invite thast said that time, I would think it was a cocktail reception because of the time.

I don't think it is too late, anyway when your guests see the invite with the time they have a snack and they will be ok. Do what is best for you and remeber that you can't please everybody and in the end if you are ok with the chocies you made then you made the right decision.

It's perfect! Ours is a SUNDAY! Ceremony at 3, ends at 4, and CH starts at 7!

Where will your guests be while you take pictures? Because for a side project, you could make little snack baggies for everyone and bring them to the church. Easy stuff, like raisins, cookies, etc. And you can print something on the bag like 'a snack while you wait for the festivities to begin' (or something to that extent)

im in the same situation as you. except my ceremony is at the hall at 7:30.I think it is better to keep it the same time so people who dont go to the ceremony dont have to take the day off to get to the wedding on time.

Yea, I didnt think anything of it qhen my friend had a 730 cermony/8 ch start, I guess Im just being a wacky bride

It's a fine time to eat dinner as long as the CH food is good. That should hold your guests over until 9. I went to a wedding that late and I didn't even realize the actual time.

I do not think that it is a big deal at all. Most people know that if they are going to a night wedding - that they are not going to served dinner until later on in the evening. If people are hungry in between they will go somewhere to snack on something.

We're having the same time...8:00 CH, 9:00 reception. I think that's a great time for Friday night bc if you make the CH too early people will either have to ruch or possible miss some of it. Yes, dinner will be a little late, but they'll be eating a lot at the CH!

I'm getting married at CLM also and we are having the same time as you CH at 8. I'm not worried about people eating too late because everyone says that you eat the most at CH. I wouldn't worry about it.
