I'm getting mad

I'm getting mad

at FH. I know I have given advice to brides on here, that FH's don't usually get into the planning as much as we do.....but I guess to listen to that advice is easier said than done. Everytime I get excited about part of the planning and tell FH he never seems excited, and alot of times he even changes the subject after a min or two

It's just a downer I guess, sometimes it makes me feel like he doesn't really even wanna get married...he hasn't even asked his GM or BM to be in the wedding yet! I don't even know who he wants to have on his side yet
I asked my girls when he first aske dme to marry him!! I just wanna scream

Anyway, I just needed to vent, thanks for reading

I am sorry you are upset, I have been feeling that way sometimes too. (My FH did ask his grooms men tho) I dont think that he doesnt care bc then why would have proposed...i just think a lot of guys feel its more a girls thing and they loose interest, specially since it is ongoing for some time until the actual day. Things will be fine and if you want to talk FM!

Re: I'm getting mad

I completely understand!!! When I talk about the wedding he gets mad! The other day we were at a restaurant and he got all mad at me because I ordered our flutes and server and knife and he was all 'Am I going to have to hear about this wedding for the next year?' and I said 'YES!' I am getting really tired of this! I have decided to just plan it with my girls, (all whom have already been asked, unlike his guys who have no idea if they are in the wedding or not). I am sorry you are going thru the same crap as I am. I told him just to show up at the church on November 3, 2007 at 10:30ish, say yes, and then LEAVE!!!

I think they need to realize that all of our yapping about the wedding is their fault!!!
They are the ones who asked us to marry them in the first place!!!!!

Sweetie, breathe! Don't get upset over him not asking the BM to be in the wedding...you're about a year away! There's time for that stuff down the road. He'll catch on once it gets closer to the wedding :)

Re: I'm getting mad

FH is up and down over here too. Sometimes he is really excited and wants to go thru and look at the different parts and sometimes he just says 'whatever you want' then when I finally decide without him he wants something else or changes his mind...

But, he is pretty much ok with everything. So much has changed since we originally started planning that he probably knew how I was and that nothing would stay the same...though I got to pick out whatever flowers I wanted

Re: I'm getting mad

My FH is too involved. At first we were having a nautical theme, now it's just a beach theme. He doesn't understand that as we started to plan, things evlove (you don't see anything that you like, you see things you didn't know existed). Then he even wanted me to narrow it don't to 2 BM dresses, and he would choose the final one. I was like, NO!! But lately it's been better.

OMG, Really? I can't picture a FH wanting to pick the BM dress WOW!!!
Too Cute!!

Re: I'm getting mad

I am sorry. My FH hasn't asked his BM or GMs yet either-he is having a hard time deciding between two friends as BM.

Some guys don't like the planning aspect of getting married-they just want to get married and not worry about the details.

I understand how you feel...FH tells me almost daily that he can't wait until for all of this to be over, and usually wonder why he can't just enjoy it....It's frustrating, just know that you're not alone, we're here for when you want to vent!

Re: I'm getting mad

it's true, they don't really care about the details of the event.... but they're guys! The puffy dresses, the flowers, the coordinated everything is all soooo girly. If they really were into that stuff, they would likely not be into us!

Just remember, not even knowing that the pillow you're hand stitching is meant for the rings DOES NOT mean they are not looking forward to the ceremony.... It's just that they focus on the reception's music / food / and booze, rather than the flowers, tulle and invitations.....

My FH was really interested in selecting the hall, the the food/cake tastings, and selecting the bar.... other than that, he couldn't care less.....

I just force him to give thumbs up or down on all the decorations, stationary, registry stuff, and vendors...

Think of it this way, this means your opinion counts more than his does! Embrace it... He'll likely be the same when you decorate your new home!

I totally understand what you are going through. At first he was like 'it's a year away'. Ugg, I could kill him each time he says that
He is the furthest from being involved. If you asked him where we're getting married, he would have no clue! It's that bad!

I can COMPLETELY relate... my FH is the same way..... it is hopeless.....I still have not gotten a guest list from him...
