Re: Im going crazy

I agree with Lisat... as long as you schedule it correctly, the time factor should not be an issue.

However, if you are concerned with what the guests will do in between, maybe you can arrange for the reception hall to have a room available for drinks before the cocktail hour starts... or maybe a relatives house is on the way who might be willing to allow their home as a stop over/freshen up place, and you can supply, some punch, a little snacks, etc. No matter what you choose, it will work out... I forgot who said it earlier, but if friends and family are going to come see you it's because they want to, no matter where the ceremony or reception is Keep your head up!

Blocking hotel rooms near the reception site, might be a good idea for you to do as well... especially if the distance is far for most guests... Let them know enough in advance about the hotel information, etc. And another bride said maybe chartering a bus, that's a good idea too! There are so many options, don't worry about it, it will work out!

I wouldn't rule out Nassau County though, there are plenty of beautiful catering halls here too - lots of land you won't even know you're on LI!!

Good luck!

Pick what you love. Everyone will be happy to travel to wherever they have to go. Have your FI keep an open mind there are a lot of beautiful places closer to the church!
