Re: I'm going to a 10:00 am wedding,
I say dress like you are going to a wedding regardless of the time. I maybe wouldn't wear an evening gown but I would definetly dress up. I got married at 10:30 (1:00 p.m. reception) and most people dressed up. There were a very few who dressed rather causually and it was very disheartening as we had the wedding in the afternoon due to finances not because we wanted a more casual affair.

I agree. I went to an 11:00 wedding and wore a dress I would wear to any other, nonblacktie affair.

i completely agree, its still a wedding, and its still the brides special day, unless it is otherwise stated that it is going to be a casual affair you should dress in a nice cocktail style dress ( most of the time people do not wear black, but i always do because its what im most comfortable in, and whats most flattering) think the bride would prefer you to dress up... where is the wedding being held?

Re: I'm going to a 10:00 am wedding,
my mom went to one years ago.. said it was a lot of fun.. it turns out, since we have such a large family my aunt had a morning wedding thinking folks wouldn't come cause it was so early.. WRONG.. no one had ever been to a morning wedding so EVERYONE came to see what it was like..
i'd wear a reg sun dress.. can't be too formal at 10am..

That is perfect! I was in a wedding last year that was a 10am wedding...our dresses were tea length. Everyone was still dressed up...no ball gowns, but treated it like any other wedding!
We had to get to the salon at 4:15am...it was horrendous! My wedding is at night for this very reason!

Re: I'm going to a 10:00 am wedding,
I got married at that time in September last year. My reception was at 1pm. Many of our guests wore summer dresses of various colors that we're very dressy, but they were dressy for the event.

that's actually a good point....I guess it really depends on the bride...a morning wedding isn't really supposed to be as formal as an evening wedding...but either way, I think all the men should still wear a jacket, and the women should wear something more formal than a sundress and/or flip flops

Re: I'm going to a 10:00 am wedding,
A tea length would be fine but I am not sure about the color. Do you have one in a different color. A sundress would be fine as well.
