I'm going to see the allergist - updated

Original post by JanuaryBride06

I'm kind of excited, which is sick, but I'm so tired of dealing with this, I can't wait to find out what's wrong.

On a less happy note, I have to bring with me the one food to ensure that symptoms will be brought on: a luna bar.

OMG...this whole Panera bread thing is why I am so happy to live in Brooklyn...(no offense Islanders) I just couldn't do it...drive for miles to get a sandwich!

It isn't just 'A sandwich' it is 'THE BEST sandwich of all sandwiches EVER'. OK maybe I am exaggerating, but it is really good. DH and I make special trips to Panera - so sad, but so good

here's my only grunt about Panera....why is it that if i order a SANDWICH my choice of sides includes a piece of bread? ---> i mean, why would i want to eat a sandwich AND roll?

i know, the side is there for other things like salads and soups...but it shouldn't even be offered up for sandwiches...they verbally offer it which proves either they are all ignorant or don't pay attention to the orders. you'd think part of corporate training programs would say : should a customer order the bacon turkey bravo, do not offer the breads as a side item.

other than that, i love panera

on a sad, I am clearly carb-dependent note, I have TOTALLY gotten the sandwich AND the bread. The bread is good for the soup, and sometimes when I don't get soup, I get the bread to 'steal' some of DH's soup with

Mel, good to hear you finally got to your allergies!!

I'm severely allergic to sesame also, but I am allergic in any shape or form of it, including sesame oil which A LOT of things are made or cooked with, so it sux big time.

Oh Mel, Sorry to hear about those inconvenient allergies!! At least you know now, right?

On a semi-humorous note, when Adam went to the Allergist, he tested allergic to EVERYTHING they tested for! The doctor even decided to make sure he wasn't allergic to the needle. He wasn't. So when people ask him what his allergies are, he says 'everything but needles.'

Thanks, Rachel

And that story -- I love it!
