I'm having a really hard time

trying to find a RH.

Here's my issues...

I'm having a small wedding of about 100 pple...I want a place that only does one wedding at a time, & I want to have the ceremony there as well.

Annnnnd I need a place that has a nice bridal suite b/c I want to get ready there and have pictures taken there while I do...

here's the major issue.

Most of the places I've looked at had the bridal suite on the second floor and there were a ton of steps to get to it. (no elevators) * The Metropolitan, George Washington Manor, Strathmore Vanderbuilt, Stewart Manor CC.

That's a problem for me since I had a major car accident 6 years ago and 47 surgeries later -its super hard for me to walk up stairs. I usually use a cane but I refuse to use one on my wedding day. (I know-its ridiculous, but I'm stubborn) So I need to find a place that can match all that criteria, that affordable too, of course.

Would anyone know of any places that might work out for me?

I don't know where you are located but I used to work at Raphael Winery (it's way out east on the north fork) it is 1 wedding at a time, absolutely GORGEOUS (I always wanted my wedding there but to have it in Oct would have cost a fortune), a beautiful bridal suite, and no stairs.

The food is amazing, the owner Julie is amazing, and the winery itself and vineyards are just breathtaking. It is expensive, I'm not sure of your budget but you could probably get a good deal if you were willing to have it in the winter.

Thank you, actually I've been there its beautiful
We did consider the wineries b/c my FH are big wine lovers but we didn't want to make the guests travel too far, it would be hard on the older family members.

What about Giorgios or sans succi. I know its 1 wedding at a time and can accomodate your guest list. Not sure about where bridal suite is located but dont think there is another floor

other places that also do one wedding at a time

North ritz club-although not sure what their minimum would be, might be higher

Thatched Cottage

The Carltun-again not sure what their minimum might be

Flowerfield

I also think deseversky center might be a good option for you

again not sure about where the bridal suites are though thats the only thing.

yea, unfortunately Giorgios does have another floor, but the only things up there is the owner's office, the groom's suite and the bridal suite.

I hear they are supposed to widen the staircase but I don't think that helps her out any.

Good luck with your appt next week. And just know in the end you WILL find a place that has all the things you're looking for so although its frustrating now don't let it get to you. Some people do have to see dozens and dozens of places but they all found the perfect place for them in the end.

The bridal suite at the Thatched Cottage is upstairs, however, they have a groom's suite on the first floor. The grooms suite is very nice. (We made sure we saw the suite because we originally were going to have our ceremony there.)

I don't see why a place wouldn't do that for you, especially if you explain to them your reason it would be messed up if they didn't. I don't know why you would NEED to use the suite upstairs and only that, so unless someone has a good reason, i dont see why not.

oh ok yeah that would make more sense then. Well in case you don't like just know you don't have to settle.

Also not sure but i wonder if glen island does 1 wedding at a time. The place is beautiful and amazing food. Also surf club but its in westchester so not sure if you're open to that. And not to waste your time going to all these places, I would call them up and ask all these questions over the phone. Ask where bridal suite is located and if its on another floor if they have an elevator. This way you dont drive yourself crazy going to all these places.

That's where my wedding was.. They only have 1 wedding at a time. Bridal Suite, Coctail Hour & Reception Room are all on 1st floor.. no stairs anywhere except their restaurant, which you would have no involvement with. They do have ceremonies right out back.

we got married at the Old Field Club and it meets everything you said- perfect for smaller weddings, ceremony on site (on deck or grass- its on the water), one wedding at at time, bridal suite, and on top of that i have major problems w/ stairs too and it was perfect for me there. All one floor, ramp entrance and everything.

They do have a website you can check out (bellportcountryclub.com), but definitely check them out in person too, the pics they have on the site don't do it justice! Room looks so different with the chair covers too..

And keep in mind this is not the month you're getting married in, so the trees would still have leaves and be green, etc. as opposed to now, I'm sure the leaves have all fallen and the golf course probably isn't as green as it would be in Sept.
