I'm married!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel bad that I didn't get to thank all of you before the wedding, but I told so many people about this site as they complemented me on how nice everything was. So, I couldn't have done it without you, and I wish all of you were there to share the most amazing day of my life!
I have no complaints at all!! Everything was absolutely wonderful and I was blessed to have everything turn out the way it did. My mother passed away in December just before I got engaged, so I know she was lending a helping hand to make my day perfect.
I stayed with my sister and 2 SIL and their families from out of town at the Wyndham Wind Watch Hotel. It is a really nice place. Woke up, looked outside, and knew that we were in for a beautiful day!! Started out at Enchante Salon in Smithtown with Kristen at 8:30. First I went to James Cress Florist to get white orchids for my hair. All the ladies at the salon were fabulous. They even opened a bottle of sparkling cider to toast to my day!! That was so nice of them. Kristen is very talented, and so easy to work with. My hair stayed up with the flowers in it for the whole day, and the makeup was perfect. My sister and SIL also got their hair and makeup done, and they looked great too, and were very happy.
We got to the Watermill just after 10:30 and our photographers from Mark Kaufmann studio took shots of me getting out of the car. I met Jodi and Ginny for the first time, but they were amazing, and I got so many complements about how the main photographer, Jodi worked so hard, but still made it fun. I put my dress on in the bridal suite after meeting my BA and MD. They were also wonderful. My boquet arrived from Burtons, and it was amazing, also got lots of complements on that! Two dozen or so fuscia calla lillies, exaclty as I had asked for, and they were tied with ivory ribbon with a bow, and pearl pins.
After I put my dress on I couldn't stop looking at myself, and I've never felt so good in my entire life. I think the photographers must have captured how I was feeling. I posted a while back that I was really nervous about being in front of the camera, well that all went away as some of you said it would!
After getting dressed, and taking pics of getting dressed, I met Peter in the lobby for pics. It was so romantic, and I'm so happy we did that. We got to spend about 45 minutes together outside, enjoying each other and the gorgeous weather.
Then, I went back to the bridal suite to have champagne, relax and enjoy everything. I couldn't stop smiling! Rev. April showed up early, and Peter and I agreed that if we could only thank 1 person for our wedding day, it would be her. She wrote the most beautiful, touching, meaningful ceremony in the world. So many of our guest had tears in their eyes, and so did I. We got so many complements about her, and people walked out saying 'Wow', exactly as I had imagined. I'm so happy we met her and were fortunate to have her perform our ceremony.
I actually never met Joey from Jam, he hurt his knee and called me immediately on Thursday to tell me that his partner, Jeff would be filling in. Well, that was very professional of Joey, and I have no complaints about Jeff, he was very good. Some of guests said that they liked the fact that we didn't have an MC or DJ talking the whole time.
The centerpieces were beautiful, exactly like my sample. The atmosphere of our wedding turned out exactly like we wanted, simple, elegant, quaint, guests of the most important 60 people in our lives, and terrific food. We also got lots of complements on the setup of the room and many people said they enjoyed the day so much because it was a small wedding where they could meet everyone and see everyone. I enjoyed my day, danced, talked to every singel person, kissed my husband, held him a lot, and I'm so happy!
I know I'm fogetting stuff, and I can go on and on, but ask away about anything. I'm off to Aruba tomorrow AM.
Thanks again everyone!
