I'm new here and I booked a trial with Calista Brides, am I a fake?

My wedding is in July and I usually go on the knot, until I heard about this website from another knottie. I read some of the replies from girls that claimed LI newbie, Clarissa was 'fake'. I think it's ridiculous. Who the hell cares what anyones first post is about? I don't even know any of you and I'm here trying to figure out why such energy would be wasted. Trust me we get crap on the knot too, loads of it. Especially from vendors that are so obvious and they usually don't have a bio or anything, and they are real quick to respond to hair and makeup advice posts. Like there is this chick, jrsbabe and she's always pushing this unknown makeup person, well in jrsbabe bio it said that she is a freelance hairstylist and makeup artist, I thought that was funky and called her on it, then she changed her bio!! Then there's this other fake 'bride' and she's always pushing Bessie, it's so obvious she's this Bessie person! Anyway, I just think it's all nuts, besides there are quite a few girls using Calista Brides and they all seem happy with her which is why I booked a trial with her too. We will see how it goes though. P.S. is anyone having their manicure & pedicures the same day or day before? I'm not sure what to do.

Marce - The only reason why I'm going is because I REFUSE to have to shave while I'm in Mexico.. That is going to be my last thought...
Secondly, I'm having a woman do it who I've known for the past 6 years - and she is the only one that I trust.
I'll be honest though, I keep joking with her that I'm going to come in BOMBED!!!!!

I agree about the no shaving on the honeymoon. That would be great! My friend gets it done all the time in Brooklyn and she loves it. I've just been to embarrased to try it. But maybe I'll **** it up and do it for the honeymoon. Thanks for the responses girls!

Girls, I get Brazilians all the time - first time is the worst!! But it gets better, if you decide to keep going. If anybody wants to know the best place to go in NYC, let me know b/c I've been to two and where you go makes a HUGE difference!

This is too funny! About the Brazilian, all i have to say is
....IT IS SO WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!! and your FH will think so too he really will!!
honestly, i was sooooo embarassed the first time that i don't think i felt anything except mortification!! but i do want to suggest that it might not be something you want to do the day before the wedding. i have fairly sensitive skin so i am still a little chaffed shall we say a couple of days after which doesn't make for the best.....well anyway, i would suggest doing it a few days before the wedding. and don't worry, you won't have to shave during the HM!! Good luck, and definitely do it, it is worth it!!

I was thinking the same thing, but am so scared to actually do it. I would definitely be interested in a good place to go, since you say it makes a difference.
I'm more nervous about this than the wedding itself! LOL!

I'm ALL ABOUT the Brazilian before the honeymoon!!! LOL!!! My friend went a little crazy before her wedding and in addition to the b wax, put swarovsky crystals around her pu-nanni also for the big day! Now that's crazy!!!

wait, i am still confused!? Where DID the crystals go?? once you get the brazilian, there are not too many places they CAN go?!!! This is way funny, but maybe we can take it off of this thread and start a new post about the Big B. This old one still gives me bad vibes when i first see it!
PS - One of my girlfriends (my BM actually) used to call it being a Silver Medalist when she got a Brazilian - i think because it involved so much work, but was not exactly something you publicized?! (dont ask, but it is kind of funny and a nice way to refer to it in mixed company)
