I could really use some good thoughts and prayers for my FH. Without going into too much detail, he may be in danger of losing his job. This would be devestating for not only the wedding planning but also for him in many respects.
We find out what is going on on Saturday. It has been an uneasy few days with little sleep.

FH is fine!!!!! The news that we were looking for took longer than we thought (we found out yesterday), but everything at his job worked out, he's at work as we speak!!!
On top of that....my raise and promotion came through yesterday too and it was retroactive!!!!!

Talk about going from an ultra low to an ultra high. All of that praying paid off! Thank you ladies SOOOOO much for all your positive vibes and prayers for my FH!

Sorry to hear. My prayers are with you. I was layed off twice in one year when I was working in the midwest. It all works out.
If it does come to that, please tell him to apply for unemployment. When I was first layed off my pride took over and I refused to go for it. After the second time I went. It was the best decision I ever made!

Hey folks - thanks for your good thoughts and prayers - he did file for unemployment - thanks for the advice - he has an interview on Monday somewhere else - wish us luck....

It's hard to go through something like that, I've been in that position before, when FH (boyfriend at the time) was not working a steady job for a few months, and it was difficult at times. But whatever happens, you will both get through it together.

That is so wonderful to hear! I hope some of that luck wears off on us! It wouldn't be so hard if he didn't have 2 kids to support - plus, we can't put together any type of nest egg and we'll have to delay family plans indefinitely.... Not a fun way to start out, that's for sure! Takes a lot of the engagement la-la land out of the picture - I rarely even talk about our plans because I am so worried all the time! Pray for us!
