...that I'm completely and totally having second thoughts about my dress... I bought my dress right after Thanksgiving at a trunk show...and now I look at the pics and I think I hate it... Everyone tells me it's normal to feel this way about it because it's purchased...and I keep trying to remember what I loved about it when I bought it... but it's hard. I'm worried it'll be a huge disappointment when it comes in ... Anyone else feel this way??

yup, I felt that way b/c the sample was gold and the pic on the web is gold-i ordered diamond white.....you will love it. It is completely normal

I certainly did.. and each time i look at the pic I realize why I loved it to begin with.. and each time I have a fitting i realize that I love it. I hink all brides go through this!

I haven't personally had second thoughts about my dress...Maybe if you were able to try it on again, with all your accessories...you could get a better sense of how you feel. If you really don't like it you could change it...but I would make sure first. Good Luck

I totally know exactly what you are going through. THe tears....oh the tears that I cried over my stupid dress. I had it specially made to be a modern version of the gown my mother wore. I regretted it so. I had them make some changes, and now it has grown on me. If you feel that strongly that you hate it......can you get another one? OR.....do you remember when you first liked it, why you liked it? What were the reasons you liked it? When you go for a fitting, and it fits you just perfectly, you may fall in love with it all over again.....

I was that way too.. I am suuuch an indecisive Libra to begin with. So of course I love my dress.. but I see so many other beautiful gowns, and kept thinking 'did I pick the right one?' every time I try it on, I'm reassured I did. It's normal!

I thought about this too...except that my dress is from the Fall 07 line...so I will have it for my wedding before it's released to the public... ugh... The other thing is I really can't change it if I wanted to...Left a hefty deposit and I can't afford to lose it...

I just delt with this myself... I ordered in Nov. and a week later started to regret my decision. It didn't last long, I went back tried it on a 2nd time and fell in with it all over again!

You're not alone......I bought my dress in October at a trunk show. The sample size was huge on me, those big pins were clipped all over the place. When I tried it on, I loved how it looked on me (and my mom did, too). But I didn't take any pics so I only have my memory to fall back on. Now I'm nervous about how the actual dress will look on me and if the neckline is too deep (it has a v-neck) and if my b00bs are going to show...or what if they pop out!!
I just think these are natural thoughts that come hand in hand with all this planning we have to do. We doubt ourselves because we want everything to be perfect and all are choices to be 'right'. I don't think you have anything to worry about. You chose your dress for a reason and you will look fabulous in it!!!

dont worry. it is very normal to feel this way. you just have to trust yourself. i am sure you had that ' just know' feeling when you tried it on.
try not to look at other gowns or else you will constantly compare. you will look beautiful in your gown!!

I felt this way aslo but i went like 6 times to try the dress on and still didnt like it so im getting another one in 2 weeks my suggestion though is to wait until it comes in and see. Alot of brides go through this but wen they put it on again then they realize how much they love it.Good luck!!

I think it is totally normal to feel that way. I bought my dress really fast at a sample sale, just wanted to get it over with! Then, I had all of these second thoughts when I tried on dresses with a friend who is also getting married.
Remember that it is you day, and no matter what dress you end up wearing, you will look beautiful. Also, there was definitely something about your dress that made you choose it.

It's totally normal. My gown came in wrong and I panicked and thought maybe it wasn't meant to be.. so I started looking at other gowns. On top of that my mom still isn't convinced I bought 'the one' but you know what? When I look at the pics of me in the dress I'm smiling ear to ear and even if you can't really remember what you originally loved about it, just remember the fact that you did love it. There was something about it and I bet when you put it on again you will love it all over again!

I get nervous sometimes too- but only b/c it's such a big decision. The more dresses you see, the more you will second guess yourself. But I remember that the night I ordered it, I was so excited I could not sleep all night. So I know I made the right decision!

Don’t worry date twin, it is absolutely normal!! This is the reason why I waited as long as I did to purchase my (just bought it this Christmas). When I put the money down, all the “what if’s” started popping into my head, like what if I don’t like it later, what if it doesn’t look as good on me if I loose a lot of weight, etc. Never go by the picture, what the dress looks like in the picture is no indication of how it will look on YOU. I can’t tell you how many dresses I tried on that looked so beautiful in the picture, but looked a hot mess on me when I tried it on. I’m sure you didn’t just initially fall in love with the dress based upon how it looked in the picture, but instead how beautiful it looked on you . . . which I am sure it still does

I feel the same way! I think the best advice is to stop looking at dresses in magazines! It will just make you second guess your decision more!
