I'm only happy when it rains . . .
Yesterday was my shower!!!! My girls and my family did an EXCELLENT job of keeping it a secret. I told them I didn't care what they did or where - I would have been happy with White Castle ![]()
, just as long as it was a surprise. They even went as far as not even telling FH! (He can't keep a secret for nothing). The best was, we share a house with FSIL and when FMIL comes to stay, she stays here (upstairs). Well she was here since Friday night AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW! And poor FSIL (also a BM) is sick as a dog and she did all the running around to get my FMIL here!
My BM Alexis hosted the shower at her house and cooked all the food - she did an amazing job! My MtOH (cousin) lives upstate, is pregnant (due three weeks after the wedding!) and has been having a rough time. At the last minute, she ended up not making it. But even though she lives upstate she did such a phenomenal job with the planning! She made 3 cds of my favourite music to be played during the shower, she made signs for the girls to carry that spelled out 'HAPPY SHOWER SHARRON' when they met me out in the street (she sent them down with my Aunt) and she ordered the most amazing cake from La Bonne Boulangerie Bakery & Pastry Shop in Port Jefferson. All my girls, my mum, my 'uddah muddah' (my Aunt Jan) and FMIL gave me such a beautiful day.
Originally me and three of my girls made plans just for lunch. I honestly didn't even think it was for my shower! I didn't have an idea until yesterday morning when FH's best friend/BM called. He never calls on the weekend! But he lives in Jersey and would have come down with his wife for the shower (I posted about it yesterday ) I still wasn't quite sure, so I was surprised!

My mum knows my biggest weakness is rainbow cookies. So she also got me a rainbow cake from Benkert's Bakery (where our wedding cake is coming from). It was divine.

O.K., a little backstory on the next few pics. FH is a punk and in two bands. He's also a big kid. His biggest complaint was that we couldn't put horror movies and video games on the registry![]()
So, my other FSIL made a point of buying us Devils Rejects on blueray and my friend/co-worker got us skull and crossbones china from Z.Gallerie! FSIL/BM Holly (who I live with) got us a great door mat too!
BM Alexis did the household cleaner poem with some modifications of her own. Everyone was laughing!
And of course . . . the HAT! My little sis/MdOH was in charge of the hat.
