I'm sad, just had a HUGE fight with FI

the fight started last night and carried over to today. I know he is exhausted and beat from work but he doesnt understand what it does to me as well. He came home all grouchy and I told him something and he got bent out of shape. I fell asleep crying.

Then this morning I got a call from my dad that he is paying the DJ for the e-party. I thought that was really nice of my parents because FI and I were actually going to pay it. Then my dad mentioned to me on the phone about getting new floors and the price of it and I said wow that price is expensive and FI made a comment that I think my dad heard and I got so mad.

So when I hung up with my dad I just started screaming at FI to let it go already, i am physically drained of this arguing, I am getting sick over this, why cant he just shut up. He got mad that I said that and told me I need to put my foot down and I am not and he is going to say something. I said to stop it because I dont want to deal with it. I dont want people hating each other and this is what it is turning into.

He got mad, grabbed his lunch and started to storm out. I yelled thats it, your just going to turn your back and leave. He then said well someone has to around here because you sure as Hell arent helping and stormed out.

I am so upset. I have not stopped crying. I wont speak to him till tonight when he gets home from work at midnight. I know he is beat up from work and he's doing 70 hours a week, but arguing with me isnt going to help. It makes him more mad, makes me upset and nothing gets resolved.

I am just so upset. I hate fighting with him. And more so when I wont speak to him till midnight

Sorry to hear about the fight but you know men when their mad they are mean but they don't mean it and usually regret it the second after it's already done. I am glad you are feeling a little better.

I'm sure that things will work out.

When he gets home, give him a minute to walk in the door and relax...I'm sure that alot has been on his mind today also.

I don't know of any couple who don't fight/argue. The important thing is to keep it constructive and keep it fair; no punching below the belt and no cheap shots.

Now go put some teabags or cucumbers on those eyes so they are not puffy all weekend!!

thanks girls

i am hoping since we had a whole day of not speaking it will have helped us both. I went out and did some walking and it helped me so I hope he took some time today to relax and come home much calmer then he did when he left.

I am sure it will all work out. i hate that when you cant talk to the person and you have to hold it all in but like the others said its good yuo both had time to coool off.
