My nephew will just be about 2 and we are having him in our wedding party....I don't think your niece will be too young...she just might be too young to walk down by herself-maybe you can put her with someone older...HTH

Could you clarify for your poll: Is the question 'Should I have my niece as a flower girl?' or 'Is she too young?' Because there's a different answer for each (in my case, I'd say NO you shouldn't have her as a flower girl because YES she is too young).

Edited to agree with the previous poster: if you really want her there, have an adult or much older child take her by the hand and walk with her.

im guessing i meant, should we have her as our flower girl. her parents are both in our wedding, so i was thinking maybe have them walk her down.

she would be perfect when it comes to pictures. she's beautiful (i just like showing off pictures of her haha sorry)

First, Your niece is BEAUTIFUL!!! I think that you should have her if YOU WANT HER! it is your wedding, and you love her. Why not? Here mom can walk her down. I have seen in wedding where the flower girl was wheeled down the aisle with a wagon, lol! too cute!!! Do it, you will be happy you did!!! She is so beautiful!!!!

I had 3 fg. One was my niece who was only 20 months....everyone told me I was crazy and she wouldn't make it down the aisle. Well, I wanted her there regardless b/c in years to come I would want my niece/goddaughter to know she was included in our special day.

That day she wouldn't walk on her own, so my MOH (her mom), picked her up & carried her down the aisle--which was fine.

She was in our pictures outside the church and in some family pics and then the nanny took her back home so mom/dad could enjoy the rest of the wedding (w/o worrying about her & her 8 month old sister).

I say go with your gut....

Here's a pic of her

FH's neice is going to be 2 years and 2 months when she is our flowergirl. I say if you want her to be the flowergirl go for it. She will look adorable in your pictures. If she walks down the aisle she does, if she doesn't she doesn't.

i'll look to see if i can find a pic... i've seen where the flowergirl is young and is put in a red wagon and pulled by the ringbearer down the aisle. i think that would get such a wonderful reaction from people!

she means the world to you and fh, she should be part of your wedding

As long as your okay with whatever mood strikes her that day, then do it. She may or may not walk, maybe she'll cry, maybe not, who knows, either way she's cute and it will be a great memory no matter what.

I had my twin baby cousins as flowergirls along with my 4 other cousins... they were all adorable! I dont regret my decision at all! they were actually better behaved then my 3-y-old ring bearer who punted the pillow down the aisle!!

I think you should do what you want to do. I'm having my niece who will only be 14 months at the time and my nephew who will be 23 months. They're parents are also in the wedding party and if will probabley walk down w/them....you could do the same.

Some ppl. disagree w/what I'm doing, but I don't care it's my wedding and my family means so much to me.

i have to second this. i had two flowergirls 3 and 4. i had a ringbearer 4.

all three of them, along with the ringbearer's brother 6, were a million times better behaved that the jr bridesmaids.

you can't predict these things.

like a previous poster stated, if you're going to be ok with the fact that she might not be in a good mood, then go for it
