I wear glasses and I decided I would try contacts so I didn't have to worry about my glasses for the wedding. Well, I've always had a fear of things near my eyes, but I've been trying to prepare myself and get over it. It has worked to a certain extent, except for the fact that I went for a 'training session' the other day and couldn't get the contact in after 1 hour!!!
I pull the lids, get the contact most of the way in,but then start to flinch when I get close and the top starts to close, pushing the contact out. I get it in, I just can't keep it in. I don't want to wear my glasses during the whole wedding and I don't want to be blind either! Any advice from you contact wearers??? TIA!

Just wanted to thank you all again for your advice. I went back today for my 2nd trial and took a little bit from what EVERYONE told me and this time it WORKED!!! I got both contacts in, out and in and out again!! I'm so excited! I can wear contacts for my wedding!!!

If you do decide to wear your glasses, I would recommend making sure the lenses have an anti-reflective coating.
It makes all the difference.
DH wears glasses & I made him get new ones for the wedding.
There was an awful glare in all our engagement pics & I didn't want to have that problem with our wedding pics.
(He really did need a new prescription anyway, his glasses were at least 9 years old)
Yeah I didn't get new lenses this time and i actually have transitions, so they won't look in pictures. my mom got the coating on her glasses, just for the wedding. i didn't even think to tell FH to do that. He needs to new glasses anyway. I better get on that ASAP!

The more you keep wearing them, the easier it will become! I've been wearing them for over 15 years! They are a godsend!
