IM SO F---G PISSED ABOUT MY MAKEUP TRIAL . ..

So I have an appointment for makeup, which I scheduled THREE OR FOUR WEEKS AGO - I live in Florida now and am planning from out of state since FH and I moved out of NY several months ago... Anyway, so I am flying up there in two weeks and this makeup trial is one of my appointments.

WELL the woman calls me today to tell me another bride wants to book her for my date and that if I want to book her I will have to give her a deposit with NO TRIAL... I'd have to give her cash NOW. I don't think so! Don't you think she should honor this appointment we made and have this OTHER new bride wait two weeks until I can get in the state as we PLANNED and have my appointment??? I AM SO PI$$ED!

That is rude--do u mind me asking who it is...you can FM me the name if you want. I wouldnt' even bother then--you booked a trial and that is just tough that she has someone else.

Oh I'm sooooooooo mad! I will FM you who it is... although she's in the city and I don't think many brides on here have used her (at least I haven't seen her name pop up)... Anyway, this is the email response I sent her (I cut and pasted it):

No, I unfortunately and expetedly cannot put down a deposit without a trial. If you are cancelling the appointment that we set up weeks ago, just let me know. I had thought that generally this other bride would have to wait until my trial and give me a chance to make a decision first.

to be honest, I wouldnt even book her just based on the way she was so quick to make a buck. Seems like you can get a more honest, down to earth, and understanding person.

ps--What part of Florida are you living in?

I agree. She is totally just out for herself and the money. Ugh.

right now we live in Lake Mary, which is about 20 miles east of orlando

Wow...that is just wrong!!!
I would be pissed too. That is definitely not good customer service. I can't believe someone would actually do this. Unfortunately you are going to have to find someone else. I wouldn't go any where near her. What did you say after she told you this??? That's what I want to know.

I think that you handled it correctly and honestly I wouldn't even bother--if this is how she is treating you before the trial who knows...I mean it would be different if you had a trial and you were still trying to make a decision--she should hodl the date for you or not have give the 2nd girl a trial or you a trial if she potentially had 2 girls that needed her for the same day. RUDE!

I said to her:

thats just bad business sense, imo. she was obviously looking for the $$ and she proabaly thought that you'd be wasting her time if she did a trial. i'd be pissed too and would definetly tell others about my experience

Definitely don't book her - there are so many professional and ethical vendors who rock out there!

That is such bad business, I cannot believe that. You're probably better off finding someone better - she should've at least given you the courtesy of doing a trial with her before she allowed another bride to step in. Obviously you are considering booking her if you have a trial scheduled.
