Im so offended!!

Last night my moms best friends daughter was married. FH is out of town this weekened so I went with just my parents. Well when we got our table numbers I wasn't with my parents so I figured I was at a younger persons table... I guessed right... THE KIDS TABLE. One girl there was 17.. but everybody else was like 10. It was horrible everybody ordered chicken fingers and shirley temples. I had to get up and leave and sit outside.

I may be in my early 20's but im not a kid! What if FH came with me? I wonder where they would have put us. Ugh in a way it was humiliating.

wow! that's awful.

I will play devils advocate and say we did something semi-similar at our wedding. We had a 'cousins table' -- DH's cousins are 17, 18, 21 and my first cousins are 15, 17, 18, 20, and my other cousins are 18 and 8. We sat them together so they would be with their siblings and other cousins (my side knows eachother well, the 3 on his side are siblings) and we thought it would be fun for them to mingle. However, we wouldn't have seated anyone else at that table if they didnt know the others.

That is so messed up! You are 20something , not 2! I would have grabbed my chair and brought it next to my parents! haha.

I would be upset. I would have changed my seat. I wouldnt want to sit at the little kids table, I mean you are an adult now!

Some people just don't think. I would have acted like a big kid and made all the noise for them. Then I would have had them all on the floor dance and learn the new moves. Sang out loud all the words they couldn't say in front of their parents. They would have remember me. I would not have let them forget they sat me at the kids table. If anyone said anything I would have said I'm not an adult today, talk to me tommorrow. I am so bad.

i agree...totally ridiculous. are the bride and groom MUCH older than you? that's the only thing I could think of. if they are pretty old..they might have lost concept of age. LOL

That's crazy. Even to put a 17 year old at the kids table would be out of line, but to put a 20+ person at a kids table!!! Crazy!

I also did not know any of the kids at the table.

are u inviting them to your wedding? you should sit them at a kids' table, as well :)
