Last night my moms best friends daughter was married. FH is out of town this weekened so I went with just my parents. Well when we got our table numbers I wasn't with my parents so I figured I was at a younger persons table... I guessed right... THE KIDS TABLE. One girl there was 17.. but everybody else was like 10. It was horrible everybody ordered chicken fingers and shirley temples. I had to get up and leave and sit outside.
I may be in my early 20's but im not a kid! What if FH came with me? I wonder where they would have put us. Ugh in a way it was humiliating.

Im 23 and the bride and groom were 28. They know im getting married myself. One of this kids at my table said she wanted to be a nurse when she grew up. I was like 'oh im a nurse' and they all looked at me and was like 'oh wow your old, you have a job!'
I also did not know any of the kids at the table.
See, this is why, I would have them on the dance floor acting like a big kid. If they feel I wasn't an adult then why act like one. I would have enjoy myself like it was a party. Never let people put you down, make the best of it.

that must have been so humiliating. that is so strange because my sister (who is 21) is not dating anyone & all the weddings that we have gone to she either sat with my parents of where FH & I were sitting.

I would have moved my seat and sat with my parents. Some people really don't have a clue when it comes to things like this!
