One of my BM's got engaged last month and ever since then she's been calling me and asking what I'm doing for this or what I'm doing for that. So today she calls me and tells me she came up last weekend (she moved out of state a few months ago) and looked at a few catering halls already. I was like 'ok, cool'. So I asked her which ones and she said she looked at Fox Hollow and Chateau Briand. I said did you like either? She said Fox Hollow smelled funny and Chateau Briand was on a main road. I was like 'I'm at Jericho Terrace and that's on a main road. There's nothing wrong with that b/c you don't see the street anyway.' She goes 'Well, that's okay for you and your guests. I'm looking for something better.' I WAS READY TO JUMP THROUGH THE PHONE AND KICK HER A**!!!!! I am so mad at her right now!!! I'm seriously considering telling her not to come to my wedding since it's not good enough for her!!! Wouldn't you be PO'd too??????

Quite frankly she is entitiled to her own opinions. Her taste will be different from your so don't be upset over that. This is quite not worth it.

Yes, she's entitled to her opinion but she's not entitled to be a b*tch! Where does she get off telling you she wants her wedding to be 'better' than yours? SO RUDE

Has she actually been quoted prices for any of these fabulous halls? She may change her tune when she starts hearing those.

As far as the hall being on a main road - I really think it mostly matters to the bride & groom. If that is something you don't want, I guess it is fine, but as a guest, I really don't pay much attention to it if the inside is nice and I like being able to find it!
