I'm so sad

I dropped off my Great Grandmothers ring today at the jewelers because I want to wear it at my wedding. It is in really bad shape - it was made in the early 1900's- but i love it and it means alot to my mom cause she was close with her. Anyway, the jeweler said that he didn't think they could do anything to clean it or fix it. I am going to be so upset if I can't wear it!! it is black with tarnish right now, you can see the stones (its 3 diamonds and a sapphire) but we don't even know what type of metal it is.\

I hope they can clean it up!!

yea thats a great idea- i am not sure my mom would go for that....its a pretty unique looking ring...and i have to say..the stones are pretty beat up as well, so i think it may be best to even totally recreate it....but then thats gonna be alot of
