Today is 2 years since my 18 year old brother & best friend passed away. (It's a long story but he should have never of died, he was basically murdered).
Steve & I took off work to attend church and go to the cemetery. Please keep my family and brother in your prayers.

My prayers are with you and your family. I lost my older brother back in 95 and even get sad today, almost 13 yrs later. Birthdays and holidays are usually the worst.

Just know that even though he isnt with you physically hes watching you as you prepare for your special day next yr. In memory if my brother I am going to try and have his name/initials embroidered on my train (so he walks down the aisle with me). My friend lost both her parents before she got married so she walked alone and did this with her dress. Very beautiful.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother when I was nineteen. That was 7 years ago and it never gets easier. At my wedding we are doing a dedication dance for her and having something said at the ceremony. Maybe if he had a favorite song you could dance to that. It is a joyous time and he would want you to be happy. The pain never leaves you but you learn to survive. Stay strong and know he is still with you.

Thank you guys so much all your post made me cry thanks for caring. I just got home from church and the cemetery, we then went to lunch to City Cellar. It was a nice day with my family.
