I'm so TIRED of people saying........

You have plenty of time. Why are you doing so much now for your wedding.

It's so annoying!!!!!!

Don't they realize how fast time goes, and why should I wait for the last minute to do everything.
Ughhhhh....It just kills me!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, just had to vent!!!!!!!!!!

People were saying that to me a few months ago- one you have time- you don't to get shoes...bla bla bla- guess what- I have 4 months now- and I still have tons to do

BTW...I just noticed that you are using Big Hits Entertainment! We just booked them the other day and I am very excited!

OMG you are my twin. I feel the same way. I am going to be graduating with a master like a month before the wedding and I wanted to get most of the stuff done this summer (at least booking the vendors and getting the STDs out, get organized). Everyone is so....When is your wedding? with a confused face..it make me so mad.

i hear that. when we first got engaged it was wow why r u waiting so long then its wow why r u doing so much so soon and now they r like 'good thing u started early' i just feel like saying 'SHUT UP' more than half the time.

Congrats on booking Big Hits!
I saw them at a showcase and they are also recommended by Villas. They were really good! My friend also just used them at her wedding.

You met with Gerry? He's nice and don't you love how everything is all digital?

I totally know what you mean. I think it is so much better to get as much as you can get done NOW.

Yes I am tired of people telling me that!!!

What they fail to realize is that this is LI and it becomes a small world when it comes to weddings!! We got engaged in May, and already some catering halls, hotels and other vendors were booked on some of the days that we wanted!!! We want to get the big vendors out of the way early so we can relax for a few months.

So everytime someone tells me how it's early and that I still have plenty of time, I tell them, yes and no.

On things like finding jewelry, I have time, when it comes to vendors, I DON'T!!

I've been lucky with my vendors, I think I saw no more than 5 of each of the majors before finding someone I wanted to work with.

I guess I'm more picky on the smaller details, like gifts, invites, programs, favors, that I like to take my time on.

When someone says 'oh you have so much time' I just retort that since I got things done early, I don't have to wait until the last minute and get all stressed. It's a nice relief.

Unfortunately, I let people convince me that I had pleanty of time and I dragged my feet looking for a band. When I found the one I LOVED they were booked!

Moral of the story: Don't listen to ANYONE. You book your vendors when you want. I now have to find another band and I can promise you, it won't be easy for me. I'm very picky.

People tell me that all of the time....'Oh my god you ordered your dress already, you registered already, etc.?' WHO CARES?????????????????????????????? I have the summer off so I might as well get as much done as possible before school starts. I also don't want to be COMPLETELY stressed out right before the wedding...if I get stuff out of the way now, then it is less to worry about then. Some people...

One of my co-worker told me that I am crazy and she said you still have plenty of time.
but who cares that's my own business though. I want to have everything organize. so I don't have to be panic when the time is coming.

There is only so much you can do when you still have 6,7,8 or even 9 months left. And the things that you CAN do, DO THEM and get them out of the way. I have less than 4 months and there still is only so much I can do. I can't mail my invites yet, it's still too soon. So I just have to wait. And as it gets closer than I can do more stuff. Today I got my shoes!!!! Very happy about that!!!

Yeah, I totally regret waiting on purchasing a couple of things, for example, and then seeing the prices go up! Just ignore them! Do everything you can now, and then you can enjoy a more relaxing planning experience.

I HATE IT!!! I get so annoyed, it's always my single friends that get nasty and make fun saying I have a year to go. They will see one day when it's their turn and they wait 3 months before to book their vendors

I too am tired of hearing people say that I have plenty of time....now I am 6 months away and don't have half of what I wanted to have done, done. I am kicking it into high gear. Got my photographer, veil, picked out rings, all this week!!!
