I just came from my hall where i was supposed to be doing my finalizations. They informed me that they have us down for the wrong time slot. My invites are already out!
We're supposed to be 8:00- 1:00 and they have us down 8:30-1:30. What are my guests supposed to do for half hour??!! They said they are completely booked and can't do anything. I was told to right an 'oops letter' to my guests!! I'm soooo upset ... i dont need this stress 2 months before my wedding!
What to do??!!!

people will be late anyway...the guests wont know the difference! make Leonards accomodate them with drinks/apps whether they like it or not! dont stress out!!!!!!!

I agree if you have it in writing (even in an email) I would call them back in the AM and speak to the owner. They will have to accommadate your guests if they arrive early

I was ready to say the same thing. I'm Colombian and we never make it on time. Matter of fact my Wedding starts at 3:30 and my invitations say 3:00pm and I put half and hour earlier for the RH also. Don't worry!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry chica... If you have that paper in email or writing, DEF Show them the CONTRACT & Fight with that!!! U never authorize the change so this is on UR side :) u can win this one...
I cant believe they did that to u chica!!
BUT on the other hand, you know us LATINOS (Not ALL but MOST of them) arrive LATE to parties.... But I am putting in my invite my ceremony is at 2:00 even though it will start at 2:30!

Jules - You have it in writing from your BM, it's their fault. They should accomodate your guests for that half hour and not make you pay for an extra half hour.

ITA! If you have the original contract they HAVE to honor it. Maybe they can set up a room where your guests can have cocktails for a half hour before your CH starts? They absolutely should NOT be charging you more money!!!!!!

print the letter and personally go to Leonards with your FH and demand that they
a. change the time to match what you had already stated in your e-mail
or
b. provide some kind of complimentary refreshments to your guests.
My sister got married at leonards in 2009 and there really is no where for guests to sit around except the main hall area, which, but its still workable

My RH does hospitality. for a 1/2hr before the ceremony where they just serve drinks passed butler style and such.
Mine does too. They should be able to help you out with this, at least....

I wouldn't stress it too much most people are late anyway. DO they at least have a place your guests can go for that half hour to wait?

like the other girls say....look for this time in writing from them and make them do something....a hospitality room?? I would also suggest making them throw in some extra or something.
