You go and then will show you some videos of their MC's maybe. FM Entertainment is also having a showcase next week I think. You can call to make an appointment. They will give you their price list too. You just need to call and see if they have your date available and then go meet them to see if you like them.

I just got married yesterday. I used FM Entertainment. They have showcases periodically. You want to ask the DJ's whether they'll play the type of music you want. What their set up is. What else do they include? Is the ceremony music and cocktail music extra? What kind of lights do they offer? Do they play off of CD's or are they all digital with computers now? (If that makes a difference to you)

FM is fairly inexpensive compared to all the other DJ companies out there. I would definitely check them out.

I think word of mouth is the best way when it comes to DJs and Photographers. I am starting that process this weekend, probably.
Just look into how long they play, do you need them for the cocktail hour, do they offer plasmas, do they digital pics, lighting... etc. And I would never book with one right away always compare prices of at least 2 or 3. It is all about what MC will suit you best. Some sit back and others really get active int he crowd.

figure out what you think you need and want first. whether it's 4hr or 5hr service. do u want a one man show or an mc to motivate the crowd? do u want to show a slideshow or a montage? Do u want favors? Check around and research various packages, go to several showcases, and make sure that the dj fits into the style of your wedding. i'm booking my dj this thursday because i knew i didn't want anyone else and there's no need to look any further!
