Hi everyone!!!!
I am that LIW bride that was married at Crest Hollow on July 3rd. This has definitely been a hot button issue and a very hot topic of conversation. First let me truly THANK EVERYONE who has been so supportive of me and my wedding day. It is truly comforting and reassuring to know How many people care.
First, I would like to share some facts publicly since this has become a 'public' issue. As soooooooo many of you out there know this wedding was NOT $55 pp (I wish it was, lol). My MIL is the nurse of the owner of Crest Hollow so I was fortunate and blessed enough to receive a discounted price. What would normally have been around $100pp was about $80 for me. I know some of you may be thinking that I should not even have to share that but it's o.k. I am a very open and honest person and don't mind sharing my details. We were given very VIP service and Crest Hollow took care of all my needs and BEYOND ( and my family's as well)...And of course, that is all that matters in the end. So to all Crest Hollow brides take heed! I NEVER, EVER ran into the other bride(s) and was never once aware that there was another wedding go on at all there!!
I had the most beautiful cocktail hour and there was SOOOOOOOO much food. I had requested a unique signature drink that requires special liquor ingredients and the wait staff and bartenders were serving it all night long. I can't believe they never ran out of the ingredients because so many people were drinking it throughout the night.
I had also added a Viennese hour and the desserts were amazing. There was so many desserts and so much food that I I have my fridge packed as I write this.
Also, there were so many 'little' details that I added to make my wedding the wedding of my dreams. I had a big tiki hut around my dias. I made cds for favors of summer party songs and wrapped it with raffia and shells. I made the place cards out of sand dollars. I had cameras at each table with a camera scavenger hunt that was also wrapped with raffia and shells. I had palm trees around the dance floor. And there were just SO many other things that helped to make my wedding perfect...
OK so to address the issue that has become at hand here with the poster Woodstock....
It is a shame that she was not able to TRULY appreciate being a guest at my wedding or for noticing the 'little'things that made my wedding so much fun and unique. I only say this because if she had then she wouldn't have cared about anything else enough to post it on a public forum that she is right, I do read!
I came across her posting this morning(maybe that can also end the mystery of who told me that hads also come about) and of course I went through many different emotions. At first I was shocked to see someone posting about my wedding, then hurt and then angry and then I calmed down. Please everyone understand that I am NOT at all hurt that she commented about the young waiter or even her food. I guess she was just really hungry and the food between the cocktail hour, salad and main course was not enough for her. Personally, I was too busy dancing, chatting and drinking to even notice!!!!
This is how I addressed the issue:
Like I said before I am a very open and honest person. I did not know the guest who wrote this about my wedding. She was the guest of someone my now MIL works with and I ad extended her an inviation out of consideration. I could have only addressed this issue through this forum but I wanted to talk person to person instead. Instead of publicly addressing her through the internet I called her fiance (with my MIL's permission) to address this issue with him since he was the reason she was even there in the first place. Understandably, it was a very awkward and sensitive issue to broach with him but I was able to do so in a very tactful and calm way. I did my best not to let any emotion get in the way. Long story short he had his fiancee (the poster) call me to extend her apologies and what she told me she didn't even know why she wrote that. She apologized profusely and asked how she could make it up. Then she told me she was going to add something on this board.
So that's the story for now girls!!!! How dramatic, huh? Well, I did have the most perfect wedding ever.... And it still is and always will be.... The people who matter to me had the best time of their lives... And that's what matters in the end.
Hugs and Kisses to all!!!!
