with the Post Office. They promised me that they woud hand cancel the invites and today when I received my invite, the outer envelopes were a mess! I know there is nothing I can do at this point, I just needed to vent

hand-cancelling is going to really 'save' anything. The envelopes still need to go through a million machines - postmark, sort to where they are going by zip code, sorted again once they get to the destination zip code, etc. Its just an envelope, don't worry about it.

Yeah, this whole hand cancelling thing is bullsh!t. I would not worry too much about it either. No one pays attention to the envelope.
