IMM SOO SADD

OK ... SO JUST TO START IM USUALLY NOT THIS EMOTIONAL BUT IM ON MY MONTHLY SO THIS MAY BE THE REASON WHY .....

SO just to make a long story short my FH is jewish and i am not ....you may think big deal right but it seems to be getting harder and harder ....

so because im Puerto Rican ppl are thinkin that we are gettin married for his papers ...(my jewish neighbors ) thats he 1st thing that upset me IMMMM SICK AND TIRED OF THE STEREO TYPE ...ITS F*ING 2008 PPL CAN MARRY WHO THEY WANT TOO

2. I want a sat wedding and last heard Rabi's dont marry on sat

3. MY FEELINGS ARE HURT AND IF YOU WOULD KNOW ME U WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT I AM A TOUGH GIRL AND MY FELINGS DONT GET HURT OFTEN .... this is getting harder and harder for me ...

the story goes deeper but i dont want to go too into it because i wll just get more upset ...

I really wish people weren't so ignorant . I'm sorry you are going through this. I don't know if you though about this but what about a Sunday night wedding? If you ever need to vent you know my FM. Feel Better!

thanks soo much .... im never this emotioanl but it gts out of hand sometimes ... and i think im being a lil selfish but I WANT A SAT WEDDING lol i feel like im doing alot but having kosher food and no food from my culture u know why do i have to compromise everything

So keep hunting for someone who can perform the cememony late on Sat. If not, then why not settle to compromise on the day and but not on the food and have both foods?

lots of hugs!! I'm sorry you have to go through all that. I understand you want a saturday wedding...maybe you can do a sunday on a 3 day weekend (such as Columbus day weekend or Martin Luther king day weekend) its similiar to a saturday night (and many places with still give you the sunday night price!)

yeah i wish it was that easy .... but his uncles are very religios they arent orthodox but they only have Kosher food and IT ALLL HAS TO BE KOSHER .... at first i asked him why we couldnt do it per plate ... becuz i thought u could but he said no it has to all be kosher or its not kosher ... theres so many rules its hard to keep upp ...

I HONESTLY WANT TO SAY F*** IT IM NOT GETTING MARRIED ....but i know dont mean that

Memorial day weekend is a good three day weekend, its like the beginning of summer

Dont be so sad, try to cheer up alittlle, Why dont you talk to your FH about doing something on Saturday, maybe whatever religions ceremony on Saturday and his on a friday? and then the celebration on a saturday. I think regardless of the day you get married, it will be wonderful!! And your neighbors, forget them, They dont matter. No one's opinion should matter but you and your FH's so dont worry about people, people will always talk, Feel better!!!

itll be okay I would just sit down fd & talk to him and tell him how you feel-- and see what he has to say about it-- and the whole 3 day weekend-- is a plus! it will all work out dont worry!
