girls who are going are u getting one? Girls who went do we really need one?
I am getting a car with the whole package, but do we really need it? I want to drink at dinner and go out at night and we don't want to drive, so we could get a taxi right? Other question for the excursions doesn't someone pick you up and drive you there? Or do we have to drive there?
I am staying in Oahu 2 nites Kaui-4 nites Maui- 6 nites

I only went to Maui and I would say that you definetely should get a car. A lot of restaurants are in Lahaina and it is a drive from most hotels. We used our car a lot while we were there.

We are staying in Maui and Kauai for 6 nights each and we will be renting a car. In Maui we will be taking the drive to Hana so we know we will need a car. I think a lot of the excursions will pick you up from your hotel also. We know we will want to explore and see the islands as well so it will be nice to take off whenever we want.

You definitely should get a car. Get a convertible! We had some great quality drive time in Hawaii. (that is where i got engaged)

We went to Oahu and Maui...we rented the car for Maui....suggested by my travel agent, worth it......we love to explore

We are going to Oahu, Maui and Kauai and are renting a car in Maui and Kauai.
My friend did these islands last year and said that we will definitely need a car in Maui and Kauai.

From what I've heard & read...Yes, you def need a car. The best way to do it is through the deals that you get from booking air/hotel together. Our resort included the rental car with the price.

Same here. You don't need one in Oahu, but definately Maui. You won't be able to go anywhere without it. We got a Jeep Wrangler, fun for the road to Hana, but I might do the convertible next time because the top is easier to take off and on. DH wanted the Jeep.

i would definitely get a car. I haven't been but from all that i've read... it's a must!
I think you'll definitely need a car in Kaui... it's a pretty small island, but theres a lot to see on it, and when I was there I didn't really notice a good public transportation or taxi system.

You definitely need a car in Kauai - they do not have taxi service! It is well worth it - cause you can drive to all the different sites (Waimea Canyon, etc)

You do not need a car in Oahu, they have fantastic transportation and everything is kind of liek the city, you can walk everywhere, and if you want to go to the northshore, they have a bus that takes you there. that's what we did, but on the other islands,i would reccommend getting a car, things are spread out a littlemore

I went to Oahu and Maui. Didn't get one in Oahu and didn't feel I needed it. Got one in Maui and definitely needed it!

I would rent a car for a day in Oahu and drive to the north shore. I really enjoyed the beaches there and it was a very different scene than wikiki.
