So what is everyone going to call their In-Laws after they get married?? Mom and Dad?? or their first names??

It's become a joke now - I call her Mom and I call him Mr. F___.
I did discuss it with my mom before calling someone else mom.

I dont know, right now, I try to avoid calling them anything at all....FI calls my parents my thier first names.

FI calls my mom 'Mom', but hasn't met my dad yet since he lives in VA and we never see him. FI's mom passed away but I think I would've called her Mom, he said she would've liked that. He has no relationship with his father. His aunt and uncle are like parents to him, so I call them aunt and uncle just like FI does. Lol, we have 'special' needs!

I call FH's mom Dona and his father Don and then their first names....they are very formal and that is the way it's done. FH calls my parents by their first names.

we haven't spoke about that yet, i usually don't call them anyhting, unless i call his mom, then i call her by her first name, i am sure that conversation will come up eventually, he calls my parents my their first names as well, and dad to my dad kidding around cause they became real good friends.

I call my FH mom by her first name his step dad I call pops just like everyone else even people on the street call him pops. his step mom I call her by her first name and his father I him by his first name.

i call fh mom -first name and fh dad mr. *** because they have the same first name ...
in cards I write mom/dad but thats because its from both of us
fh kids around and says, MOm /dad but generally first names

I call my FMIL by her first name and I don't know what to call my FI's Dad so I don't call him any thing.....he calls my parents Mom and Dad.

Me too! It's amazing how I managed to avoid it after 7 years. Anyway, I'll probably call them mom & dad even though their SIL doesn't.

I avoid calling them anything. They've told me to call them by their first names, but I just can't see myself doing that. I don't know what I'll do after the wedding.

Ditto, well latley he has been calling my parents mom & dad, but in my opinion i have 1 dad & 1 mom, so i feel very werid calling them that, i try to avoid that, even though i have been with him for 10 years..........

I really have no idea. FH mom hardly speaks any english so I don't think she would understand what I call her. With his dad not sure either. He's on my $hit list right now so I wouldn't even want to call him dad.
