I called FMIL mom for a VERY short time. I've always called them both by thier first names and that's what will continue.

I GUESS AFTER WE GET MARRIED I WONT REALLY CALL HER ANYTHING - THOUGH MAYBE IN A CARD OR SOMETHING I WILL SAY MOM AND DAD.

FH FAMILY VERY NICE TO ME SO I DONT THINK IT WILL BE THAT WEIRD CALLING THEM MOM AND DAD - ESP SINCE FH'S BROTHER 'S WIFE (MY FSIL) CALLS HER MOM ALREADY.

I already started calling them mom and dad - I would say about 3 mts after we were engaged it just came out of my mouth so I just went with it -

Ditto, well latley he has been calling my parents mom & dad, but in my opinion i have 1 dad & 1 mom, so i feel very werid calling them that, i try to avoid that, even though i have been with him for 10 years..........

I FEEL THE SAME WAY MY PARENTS SHOULD ONLY BE CALLED MOM AND DAD. IT IS SO WEIRD CALL FH MOTHER, MOM. HALF THE TIME I TRY TO AVOID CALLING HER ANYTHING BUT SHE BEEN ON THIS FLING THAT I SHOULD CALL HER SOMETHING. ITS JUST WEIRD.

Me too! I'm usually just like 'um, so....' and look right at them to get their attention. I feel wierd calling them Mom/Dad or Mr. and Mrs.

Not sure what to do. I should probably ask them.
