HELP MY FUTURE MOTHER INLAW IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!
My future mother in law is driving me crazy! She has this preconceived notion that the bridal party does not pay for there attire , as well as she is always having the craziest ideas about how much things are going to cost. Mind you we are paying for this ourselves and also are shopping around to get the best value for our money. Any feedback before I strangle the woman ( not literally , but you all know what I mean), will HELP!!!

Why don't you try having your FH talk to her and explain things to her. I think if she's not paying, she has no say. The trouble is how to convey that in a nice manner.

Suggestion...
Moms love to feel as if they are involved and in the long run she wants not only what is best for you but also for her son. Whether what she wants is right or wrong is an entirely different thing! A great piece of advice that I remember reading about getting a person to relax with their opinions a bit is to ask their help this way. Give them a situation and two or three different ways to handle it that you ALREADY like. Let her pick one and go with it. This way she will feel as if she is making a good decision for you. For example, you don't know what color BM dress to pick but you love both brown and blue. let her pick one since you like both of them already. This way when you pick the things that you want on your own and DON'T take her suggestion she won't feel as if you have shot down all of her ideas. AS for money, show her what things would be like if you went less expensive. Once she sees the difference in quality she may lighten up. Good luck !:)

Well I can only semi-help you. I do know that in Ireland the brides pay for the dresses. Maybe it's the same in other countries/cultures. Just explain this to your FMIL. But I do agree with having your Fi talking to his Mother. Good Luck!Welcome New Vendors
