My sweetie chartered a helicopter tour of the city. He planned that we flew over certain places, all of which has little messages waiting on big signs. When we got to the end, there were candles waiting on a table with flowers and he dropped and asked. I cried and cried and the helipilot was there taking a movie of the whole thing. It was so romantic.

Fh proposed to me in Central Park. After a bit of a struggle he managed to get me to walk to the Bethesda Fountain. It was the middle of December and I was cold and cranky. As soon as we got there he began telling me all about the fountain.. All I was thinking was why is he telling me this. Then he told me that the reason he brought me there was that the fountain was the site where he realized how much he loved me. (Five years earlier we were living in different states and met in the city for a picnic.) He then walked me over to the place we had picniced and handed me a bag. In it was two glasses and a bottle of champagne. Out of the corner of my eye I saw him pull the ring out of his coat pocket. I started to hyperventalate. He had to calm me down before he could even ask me. Then he got down on one knee in the mud and asked me to make him the happiest man in the would. I screamed yes, yes, over and over before he could even get out the words will you marry me. It was the greatest moment of my life.

The day before Valentine's Day we arrived in Puerto Vallata, Mexico for a short trip to see my parents. I knew we were getting engaged soon since he had asked my father's permission(so sweet) at Christmas. But I hadn't met his mom yet and thought, not until I meet her would he propose. He also told my mom that it would be in April, or May. So here we are at sunset, on my favorite beach in the world. It had just stopped raining after we were told it rained for 10 days. So there were many people on the beach marveling at the sun. I've had many drinks since we landed and was really sappy- telling my FH how much I loved him and how excited I was too be on vacation. He told me how he was really happy and how he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with me. He always says stuff like this so I didn't expect to turn around in his arms and have him standing there with a box in his hand. He opened the box, showed me the ring and asked if the rest of our lives could begin right now and the rest is history. NO BENDED KNEE however- call me silly but since my first engagement ended and he didn't ask on the knee, he knew this was a requirement for me to break the curse. But he forgot- it bugged me for days. Even still a little...so silly!

We were setting up our first x-mas tree (our first x-mas in our apartment together) and as we finished, i was on my knees sweeping up neverending pine needles from the floor and moving furniture around (I was ex-tremely dusty and sweaty...gross)
He goes 'Oh theres one more ornament to hang up , let me go get it' He goes to the bedroom and gets the box that hsi Baby's 1st x-mas ornament was in. (I snooped through his stuff so i knew what was in there)
He goes...'put it on the tree' Me: you do , im busy Him:'Come on just hang it up' Me: goddmit juts do it yourself Him: please put it on the tree Me: 'For crying out loud , give it to me'
I open the box and inside i see a velvet box....i starts chanting 'no no no no no no' over and over cause I was shocked
I cant even remember what he said...he told me i did eventually say yes though
All i remember was that Swordfish was on the tv
Sounds romantic now but while it was happening i was so upset cause i wanted our families to be there for the moment. Oh well- its his proposal right!!! I'm just thrilled i got my ring

Long... sorry!
I had planned a romantic evening as a gift to him for our anniversary last year. He loved Billy Joel so I got tickets to see Movin Out and we were supposed to have a nice dinner before the show. FH loves his gift but says... why don't we make a whole night of it and stay in Manhattan. I said ok so he books a room at the Mariott Marquis and he says they had a great 'getaway package' - dinner and breakfast included with the room. Again I say ok...
So the day comes and we meet at the hotel to check in... our room was on the 39th floor overlooking all of Times Square... such a beautiful view! Anyway, we go to dinner at the 'View' restaurant in the hotel - this place revolves and you get a 360 veiw of the city. After dinner we go to the show (great show) and then back to the room. Then there's a knock at the door and in comes room service with champaigne and truffles.... again FH says it comes with the package... and I am so clueless I say... OK cool! So we pop the bubbly ... we get comfy on the couch and look out the picture window at all the dazzling lights of Times Sq. We were just talking and saying sweet things and making toasts to us and our anniversary... and then all of a sudden FH says something that makes me turn and look at him and he was on his knee with '' and I was totally confused
I really didn't see it coming... I knew we would eventually I just really didn't see it coming. FH had to ask me twice because I never answered the first time... I just threw my arms around him and started to of course tears of happiness
And of course I said YES because like everyone here... I am a to be!

I had known Josh was going to ask me to marry him, but I had no clue when. In May I left for a trip to Disney World with my sister for her 21st birthday. On the fourth day we were there we went to Epcot first thing in the morning. All morning my sisters cell phone kept ringing (it was my mother). I couldnt possibly understand what she wanted since we had just talked to her the night before. My sister drags me over to the Mission:Space ride (which was awesome). After we got off of the ride we stood over by one of the fountains so she could give me the map. Someone taps me on the shoulder, but I ignore it thinking its someone just bumping into me. I get tapped again and whirl around to yell at the person, when I see Josh on one knee with my grandmother's ring (which I did not know my parents had given him) and he asked me to marry him. I dropped everything I was holding and said yes. The best part was there was a whole group of kids standing there and they all started cheering!

ok, here's the story, sorry it's kind of long.... after work yesterday, I did some Christmas shopping... then I headed home to 'our' apt... when I got there, he wouldnt let me in and told me I had to come back in 15 mins... which of course, I was annoyed about!! LOL.... so about 10 mins later he calls me and tells me to come home now... when I get to the door, I ring the bell and he doesnt answer... so I open the door with my key and when I walked in there was nothing but our dog and a trail of tea light candles and rose petals leading to the bedroom... when I opened the bedroom door the trail continued to a circle of candles and roses... inside the circle there was one single red rose and a note that said 'Meet me at the jeddi on the beach', Chris'.... (we lived at the beach by the way, LOL)... so I walked down to the beach (which was covered with snow) and he was there... it was dark cause it was around 5:30 and it was December... so when I got there he told how I was so perfect for him etc... then he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him... I said YES!! and he put the ring on my finger!! We were laughing and crying!! and then he took out a bottle of champagne and two glasses and we toasted to our future! It was THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda knew it was coming b/c I had picked out my ring several months before. He proposed to me in Little Italy we were having espresso and pastries on an early afternoon while it was pouring rain. After we left the cafe we realized we needed an umbrella ASAP so we bought one for like $3 on the street. I always use this umbrella when it is raining

While on vacation in front of the Pantheon in Rome. Story is a bit long but I'm too lazy to write it al. Suffice to say, INCREDIBLY romantic... I mean, it's Rome and I'm a history teacher... a sewer in Rome would be romantic for me. Then we went off to dinner at one of those cute little restaurants down a lane between two buildings. While FH was trying to give me some of his 4 cheese lasanga appetizer (I had just realized I should have ordered that) he spilt my glass of red wine and I think a bit of the bottle... yes, all over my skirt... but wouldn't luck have it... my skirt was burgundy colored. He couldn't have picked a better outfit. POOR GUY... he wsa so nervous and totally embarrassed. The couple next to us said... 'not a good way to start, now you have to buy her a new outfit'
