I'd like to put these on the tables and I'm wondering where I can order like 200 of them inexpensively with a personalized ribbon attached.

Re: inexpensive chocolate lollipops?
they are SOOO easy to make. Just buy the molds (they have them in michaels, ac moore, party city....or there is a store in lynbrook on merrick rd. called candy people that has a whole ROOM full of molds).....then buy the chocolate which you can just melt in the microwave and pour into the molds and stick in the fridge. trust me, they are SO easy to make

They are soooo easy to make. You should try making them yourself and ordering the ribbon. Just experiment now. All you do is melt chocolate and pour it into a mold. And it will stay for a few days so you can make them like a week ahead. But if you want to buy them, just post on VHB - there are a bunch of vendors on here that do it. Good luck!

They are really easy to make. If you don't have time go to a candy store. What area are you in?

I think I will go with what everyone on here is saying and make them myself but is 200 a crazy amount to make??!?! How long will that take? (I think my MOH would enjoy doing this together!)

It will take awhile because you have to let the chocolate sit in the molds. You could do a few a day.

Re: inexpensive chocolate lollipops?
yeah, definately buy a few molds. that will speed up the process. they take a little while to solidify in the fridge. if you live near lynbrook i highly recommend candy people. my mom used to always make pops and thats where she got all the supplies.

How long do they stay good for? If I made a few a day I wouldn't want the first batch to go bad soon after the wedding

Re: inexpensive chocolate lollipops?
I made like 100 of them for my daughters christening.... Not hard at all.. It is time consuming... They will stay for a while.... so dont worry about that... Just keep them in the fridge.... My FMIL saved a couple and they are still in her fridge.. That was over a year ago LOL.. No one is going to eat them its just a keepsake, but they still look fresh!

Re: inexpensive chocolate lollipops?
If you buy a few of the molds (they are about $2 each) you can make more at a time.
And if you keep the colors to 1-2 and dont get too crazy with the detail then it wont take too long.
I would start early though just in case.
There is a place in Wantagh called Grandmas Kitchen that sells molds and chocoltes.
and I think party city does personalized ribbons
And yeah- enlist some friends and make a party of it- it will go quicker that way too.
