Info for a friend - Long Island Weddings
I booked my wedding at the Knights of columbus in oceanside, it's called the O'Connell Garden, (sounds fancier lol) it is such a nice place! When I first heard knight of columbus I was a little hesitant, but when I went there the place is so nice! The package that they offer is amazing! The package I got was 100 pp, and it includes dj, photographer, limo and centerpieces, a really nice choice as far as food, Viennese hour. We are doing our own centerpieces, but the florist is giving us a credit to put towards the flowers for the girls, and groomsman. Speak with john then banquet manager, he is such a nice guy!

I am also getting married at a KoC..'Baron DeKalb in Sheepshead Bay!! LOLsounds fancier. I have been to the knights you are getting married in for a communion and it is gorgeous and the food is really good!! Mine didnt include DJ/Photo/Limo but it did include centerpieces and cake.. I want cupcakes and doing my own centerpieces so they gave me a break on the cocktail hour,, Plus I am not paying that much a head.. I kinda wish they did offer the photo option since I am finding so hard to commit to one!! LOL
Thanks for the info!

Re: Info for a friend
We booked The Cottage at East Wind. I know the commercials say it's all inclusive for $9995, but that's a lie. lol. That doesn't include tax or the 20% admin fee. Also, that price is for weekdays and Sunday. It's extra for Friday and Saturday night. It's also extra to have the ceremony there. That being said, even with all those extras, we still went for it. It includes the DJ (Tommy's Tunes or LI Sound), photographer (ADA Studios or Marco), 10 centerpieces, cocktail hour, dinner, full open bar, cake, and either a limo or an overnight stay in their hotel. We took the night in the hotel, so I don't know which limo companies they offer. Our ceremony will start at 7 and everything ends at 1230.
Even with the extra fees, it's still waaayyyyyy under what I know some people are paying JUST for the hall. Plus, it's the East Wind. It's gorgeous. The Cottage is a smaller room (I prefer the term cozy, lol) and the price includes 100 people. I don't have my stuff in front of me, but I want to say it's approx $120pp (inclusive) over 100.
Hope this helps! I wasn't convinced of the value until we went there and sat down with Penny. She was wonderful.

That's awesome! I found that some of the koc's weren't all inclusive, but that's an awesome idea with the cupcakes! There is a wedding expo on November 4 from 7-9 if she wants to take a peak at what they have to offer
