Re: ing...

My FH and I opened one after we got engaged and it's great!
We've already made a lot in interest...plus I linked it to my other bank account and set it up to automatically take a certain amount out 2x a month so I have no choice but to save! (I'm kinda bad about that)

to open an account just go to
ingdirect.com

I was going to open one...then I went with HSBC instead. They have an online savings account that gets 5.05% interest rate, and for the past 4 months or so it was up to 6%. Try hsbcdirect.com

I def recommend it. I love making money without having to do anything.

i have ING (no complaints)...but i think other banks are now competing with the rate they offer...like the one above...citibank has e-savings too and that one is super easy as well.

I have an ING direct account too - i like it, it really helps me separate my $, and it's kind of out of sight-out of mind.
Also, it's easy to xfer back into your account god forbid you need it..

I like having my ING account. I have money transfered from my regular checking into it every month. I find I tend to not dip into this savings as much as I would my savings at my regular bank, although if I needed to it is easily accessible. Something else to consider - HSBC's online savings account is now offering 6% APY, but I believe that is only through April.
