Ladies who blocked hotel rooms there, did you have a problem filling the block if you also had a hotel that was at a lower rate?
I want to block rooms there because of its proximity to our hall (next door), but dont know if people would want to pay the 189 vs a lower amount for the hotel (the OOT guests are used to hotels around 70-80 in their area.

wow youre lucky. we were quoted 260 a night in July!!!

The rooms were 230 for us and we had over 20 nights booked!! We were also blocked at the best western, but we had less people book there. Keep in mind that we had a LOT of OOT guests and family who wanted to stay.

we only had to block in groups of 10 and had to guarentee 3 so we just did the ten for people we know r staying there

This is why I didn't block there. I didn't know of anyone really who would pay $225 for a room, so I blocked at the Exec. Inn. I stayed there though and oh my gosh how nice it is!
