inner envelope ?????

how did everyone write the names on the inner??

if they are married?

and what about if there are 2 unmarried couples living together. can you put them on 2 seperate lines?? or does it have to be on one line???

I believe unmarried couples who live together go on separate lines. I used this for addressing enevelopes and it really helped.

On the inners, I did Mr. and Mrs. John Smith if married and if unmarried (but living together), Mr. John Smith and Ms. Jane Doe on the same line if it fit without looking too weird. If the names were too long, I told my calligraphy lady to put them on separate lines without the 'and.' The proper etiquette there, I believe is for the name of the person with whom you are closer to to be on top...even if it's the lady. So some were actually like this:

Ms. Jane Doe
Mr. John Smith
