Instead of doing the bouquet and garter..HOW A

There was also a "fortune bouquet" in the last Martha Stewart Weddings book that was great. I asked my florist to do it for my wedding and she blew me off (just one of the problems with her), but it still looked like a good idea, especially if you have some bridesmaids who are unmarried still....it looks like on bouquet but breaks apart with 4 smaller ones, each with their separate fortune...but you should have one say "You're the next to marry! Get ready for the garter!" so there's someone to pair off with....

My mother-in-law spoke to her cousin (the one who "forgot" the envelope) and it was mentioned in conversation that a gift is on the way....whatever.

I agree it's tacky to ask for a gift, but to come to a wedding in this day and age without a gift is twice as tacky....this was not a "football reception" like they had in the 1940s...this was a nice elegant affair that cost an arm and a leg.....luckily we made 100% of the reception costs, but not really much of anything else back...if it wasn't for the generosity of my parents....

just wanted to let you know that its called the ANNIVERSARY DANCE and it sounds so cute. another thing i heard of was all the single women sign the bottom of your shoe at the beginning of the night and who evers name is most legibleat the end gets the bouqet!!

What are you using them for? I know that The Lightning Bug has many nautical themed items including beach glass, and shells. Good Luck!

Also take into account if your feeding them, I know nowadays it's common practive that they get fed, but that comes out of our pocket, and then they want a tip.

I never heard that one about signing the bride's shoe. I did know I didnt want the bouquet/garter tradition and then my DJ told me about the anniversary dance. That was the first time I heard of it and we are definitely going to do it. I think it is probably going to get more & more popular.

Are you lining your lips, then lipstick? How about just gloss?
