Re: Instead of placecards.....
Im doing Chocolates but attaching a card with the name on it.
You can also do little boxes and put the name and table number on the boxes., with clear labels.... my boxes are too dark for that or else i would do it.

i dont know.....i think yelley gave me the idea for a place card tree......we were thinking of getting a table xmas tree and hanging framed ornaments with peoples names written on the paper inside the frame.....that way it acts as a favor and placecard in one..... but im not sure if that is something we are def going to do and if JT will let us have a mini tree on a table....

Re: Instead of placecards.....
I'm not sure yet what we are doing... I want something a little different. I like the idea of maybe combining the favor with a placecard / or using something from your theme to incorporate (ie: we are using fruit in our centerpieces- maybe the placecard a fruit with the card attached?) Sounds funny- but some pics in my album help to illustrate better....
ohhh and i forgot to add this question in my previous post:
if there were about 90 framed ornaments on a table top christmas tree do you think it would be really hard to find your name? i dont know how you would order them on the tree
I just saw this, maybe create personalized labels with the peoples name and table letters or hang tags. Mabye be chilled so people can toast at their seats

my boss had a flower tree (it was huge) and the name tags were attached. they had an attendant there to help, but the names were keep in abc order best they could.
I saw this but what if everyone is crowded around this all at once, what if someone forgets their seat and has to go back and forth to view the chart. Its a cool and different idea though

alphabetical from top to bottom? you could do a few small trees and have one tree be 'a-h' and the other 'h-z' though that wouldn't work for us, b/c we'd need a whole tree just for 'h'. we have the same last initial lol

I dont think so. That will look HOTTTTTTTT. People do this with trees, Im sure if it is in ABC order people will find them easly.
What color ornaments are you doing?

you could attach a tag to your favors.
i know some people have used sea shells or sand dollars or something like that. candy bars work too
