I saw this but what if everyone is crowded around this all at once, what if someone forgets their seat and has to go back and forth to view the chart. Its a cool and different idea though

I know.... ive thought about that... i like the idea ....but i keep imaging my 88 year old grandmother standing in front of it for like 30 minutes trying to find her seat....

AWWWWWWWW thats what I had in mind, the older people. Im using letters instead of numbers for my tables and they are in script and my mom said the older people prob wont recognize the letters

I dont think so. That will look HOTTTTTTTT. People do this with trees, Im sure if it is in ABC order people will find them easly.

What color ornaments are you doing?

I dont know.....I want to get one of those pre-lit trees that would fit on a table.....and i think my girls are wearing taupe or champagne dresses and im doing red flowers i think.....those are my colors as of now - so maybe goldish things on the tree? and white lights.....i feel like gold is christmasy without being too corny....i dont really want to do red and green, i feel like its 'too christmassy'....i have no idea where to even look for frame ornaments that are cheap.....im going to keep my eyes open at all the dollar stores this christmas hahaha!

i'm thinking about a lollipop tree.. cause i love candy..

either that or just plain ole placecards. i cna' event remember what the placecards looked like at the last 2 weddings i went to..

I know what ur talking about. I have those prelit tress at home but they are small. I love gold, elegant and classy xmas feel to it. Umm y dont u get a real xmas tree, medium size, stick it somewhere and hang the ornaments like that all around, with lights, that will look so hot Ok im changing my date to xmas

good idea MPAS!! a real tree - than i can get something that would be the perfect size.....i am pretty sure JT would let me do that - im going to ask next time we go there.....i just need an outlet and a table.....they can throw the tree in the garbage for all i care when its over.....

a christmas wedding is fun - i def want it to feel romantic and nice like christmas time, but i dont want to go overboard with it either so i have to be really careful......like the VH will have extra things for christmas time like christmas cookies and egg nogg and the CH will the have string trio playing christmas music (no jingle bells though!) and i want to do a placecard tree - and red roses for flowers but that is all i can think of without it becoming too corny!

i love gold for christmas too!

A past bride that got married at JT had a xmas theme and had carollers, what a nice touch. I agree with the going over board thing but I think you are good to go

I'm thinking of doing a large picture frame with everyone's name and table number. I just saw this when I went to look at flowers and invites at a friend of the family's store and I absolutly loved it. You rent the frame and eisle, give them the list of guests and table number in last name order and they put it on a huge paper with a picture in the background or on top of you two or whatever you want. I think it'll total like $200. Let me see if I can find a pic for you.

ETA: well, her site doesn't have a pic of it but it looks like the scrolls that some have mentioned before, like 3 or 4 feet tall frame. And then you choose which frame and eisle you like best.

I'm making paper flowers (paper source sells kits) The guest names will be on the leaf and I'm going to stick them in a box of wheat grass- so they'll have to pick their flower. I posted a picture a while back- when I made a sample

Yes!! My friend did this for her engagement and there were only 100 people (figure 50 placecards hanging from this tree) It was such a pain in the A** to find yours!!
