Any ideas for placecards without using acutal placecards??? I think of placecard tables 24/7, lol. Who is not using placecards?

I was doing the paper flowers in a clay pot but i think im gonna go for something more classy. So I thought of regular placecards but now Im def. gonna do a seating chart.

AS long as you put it in the freezer the night before they wont melt. My mom's friend used them as favors and they didn't melt (she told me she put them in the freezer the night before)

in the magazine I am reading there is one wedding that had an oversized chalk board that read 'Where am I sitting' and their names and tables were on it- i know it sounds kind of tacky but actually looks cute in the picture

I think we might be doing the names on a screen - it's hard to explain but it's this screen type thing that it lit up and has everyone's names and table on it. It sounds cheesy, but it's really nice.

I'm using a seating chart....tables named after lplaces we've been to and people's names under each one, two easels will hold the chart.

i'm doing mini birds nests...with candy and their names...sort of placecards/favors all in one!
I am using votives .. ...but I just went to a wedding that used wine glasses .. it was a wine theme and the glasses had a card on top with name/number there was a 'bar tender ' to fill up your glass with the wine of your choice. It was a cool idea and at the end of the night we got a tiny wine bottle to go with the glass.

the place where I got my invites from & favors - they had this awesome stand....very floral & victorian - it had everyone's names in alpahbetical order and had their table #'s nex to it! i was very close to doing that instead of placecards! im sure u can rent them if u see them... it would be too expensive to buy... HTH

I went to a wedding a few years ago where there was a wire tree with chocolate leaves (wrapped in foil) attached to the branches. A clear plastic sticker had been afixed to the top of the leaf.
It was cute, but your first instinct is to eat it and crumple the foil, so the info is lost.
